Fear. Thug corporations like Amazon just threaten to shutdown the location, and Comrade Bezos has no problem doing that as he sees his workforce more as tools than humans, so the average low skilled worker bends under the heavy hand of corporate oppression. Nothing new, been happening in earnest since the 80's when the worst president in a century went on his union busting campaign.
Yes, that process is ongoing everywhere. Even those workers who are not seeking a larger slice of their company's pie, whose real wages may be falling over time, will be replaced when the technology becomes cheap enough.
When you bring in a 1.2 million potential laborers a year and millions more illegal aliens who are here to work... Yet... you want unions to regain power against private companies? How fucked up is your thinking? How fucked up are your votes? I do not understand how you all can't reconcile that millions new citizens and millions of f illegal aliens who are here to work harms middle and low income Americans standard of living. You all just keep voting for raises for Bezos and the elites... and then you wonder why its happening? WTF... wake up.
I can think of no better way of keeping illegals off company payrolls. Well, an entirely employee-owned company would be better still.
Requiring ALL employers to properly use eVerify would greatly reduce this issue. eVerify should be used for Contractors and direct Employees. Implement high fines to force compliance. Issue solved.
Holy fuck is every one of your posts about immigration and illegals? You're not necessarily wrong about it but fuck try posting other shit too.
This is key. Doesn’t solve because employers can still pay off of the books but high federal penalties will also help and states passing laws to pull business licenses as well.
laughing... you are correct... I seem to have two tracks... right now... here at ET... in part because this is my distraction while trading... (covid and immigration) I did post about the vix shooting up as my index positions were going up. But I deleted the post. I have learned to never talk about my positions... as the market typically crushes me the second I get that giddy. Not today. I deleted the post and the market started higher again... I got out just about 30 seconds before stocks closed... just off the highs.
you care to guess which political side vehemently keeps shooting down mandatory everify? It's the one w/the modern day plantations.
