Posts that were deleted for advertising reasons are gone for good. No. Anyone can volunteer to be a moderator. However, if you're a lurker, odds are that you won't be selected to be one. We need to see that you've been participating on the boards so that we can review your posts to verfiy your character.

Character is probably not the right word. Personality is really what I mean. Basically, we look for someone who has the opposite personality as you. For example, you seem to have an "anything goes" attitude when it comes to the content of posts. You often say things like, "I don't see why Baron doesn't allow so-and-so to post..." or "Baron, why did you delete ... ?" Those types of comments, are in my opinion, evidence of a person who has a lack of discernment. I mean, you've been on the boards for months now, but for some reason you still have a hard time understanding the rules, or even understanding why the rules should exist. That is obviously not the type of personality that makes a good moderator.
