Hey buddy, let me prove your statement wrong for a sec. I have a mentor working with me as we speak. No, I don't trade anymore as I have taken up a job paper trading and testing new strategies. I only have about $600 in my account now, all I can say is, I'm going start making some real wise decisions on where to properly allocate my money and how much of it i will use per trade. my answer is 1 contract with a tight stop. target profit per day = $50 i will also be setting daily price targets while watching the everlasting fight between the bulls and the bears.. god bless, thanks for the support. i will never back down from this, naysayers
If you really mean the above and abide by it, then congratulations it all worked out just fine for you and you have benefited a lot from the lesson and the experience. wish you the best with maintaining your discipline and your mentor seems to have got you on the right track already. Cy
What happened to a) watching the market b) sim trading consistently. Any losses on the sim can be given to your mentor. Baby steps buddy, oh and make sure your mentor is not a sim trader as well
Other than those two kids in TX making 6 figures a night playing online poker, where are all the others you claim are making $20k/month?
Soap opera. Gentlemen, I have something to share. I think BnB is a dishonest whiner. I had a thread, with similar topic, I was looking for mentor, although w/o tears. Guess, who wanted to mentor me? BnB! My claims can be backed up by mods, I have all private messages. I post this not to gain popularity, nor out of jealousy. Full story: I knew he is a not for real (he also has some posts on another message board under same alias, can be googled ), and recommended him to get lost after several of his PMs: For which he lashed out at me: Then I saw 2 of his threads. My response: "Huh?". So I wrote following to teach him a lesson and scare him a bit (I did not plan to make anything public). His response: Another lie. What an idiot. At this point I decided to break the news.
BnB My first piece of advice *IF* you want to keep on trading: be adequately capitalized. To trade 1 ES contract you need a minimum of $5,000. I suggest $7,500. Second piece of advice is patience in trading. You posted 172 trades (86 round). If your all in cost to trade was $3 per side, you would need to make $516 just to break even. I don't make that many trades in 1 week. Last advice - stop thinking that trading is going to make you *Super* rich. I've been trading for just over 7 years, and only this past year have I traded full time. The first 5 years I had a 40 hour work week, then I worked part time, and now trade full time. Am I millionaire? No and quite far from it, (hopefully someday). But what trading does for me now is let me earn a decent living, be my own boss, and have a flexible schedule to travel, go to the beach, see more of my family and friends.
