3 months and a day later, and this just across the wires:

U.S. Launches Military Offensive in Iraq. Doesn't sound like a pullout to me.

"QAIM, Iraq - About 1,000 U.S. troops, backed by attack helicopters and warplanes, swept into a village near the Syrian border Saturday in an offensive aimed at rooting out al-Qaida militants and stemming violence ahead of a crucial vote on a new constitution."

  2. Forgive me, but America is gonna stay there until the job is done, they ain't going to cut and run and and they will always maintain a strong presence both political and military.

The biggest problem they are facing now is the likely installment of a theocratical state Iran style:

The Shia in Iraq loved Ayatullah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Iraqis vote for their constitution, and . . . wait a minute. . . woah, looks like US troops are still in Iraq! Wow, who woulda thunk? Certainly not anybody stupid enough to believe the arab propaganda channel called Al-Jizzm or whatever it is.

But trust them. The US is gonna cut and run any day now. Honest. Sometime before the heatdeath of the universe. Or maybe later. Or maybe much later.

  4. I travel a lot, have platinum status and the airline will hold the plane if they know that I am on my way. I am waited up at arrival and escorted through the staff entry at customs.

Whenever I go somewhere I observe the customs of the country because I darn well realise that I am a guest there.

I am always amazed at the tolerance that is being extended to wally boy here, he certainly does not behave like a guest towards the host (and his peace keepers) here.

And a guest is a representative of the country in which (s)he was born and the country will be badly reflected upon if the guest behaves badly.

Similarly if wally boy was in my house he would already have been sent packing to back where he belongs, namely in the gutter.

wally boy (and you are only a child, if not in years certainly in behaviour. If we notice your imature behaviour I would say you have the emotional build up of a 6 year old)

And behaviour is what man seperates from being a monkey.

wally, why do you not have a banana and go back to where you belong: in the zoo. You are making yourself here an exhibition of downright stupidity and you are a disgrace to your country. Or is that why you are not going back? Don't they want you there any more? (because you are an embarasment to your people and to yourself)

Well I certainly do not want to listen to your filth so on the ignore list you go.

No need to reply because, thank heavens, I won't see it.

The Iraqi elections to elect the new board of director who the Americans hope will facilitate the funneling of free oil.

In other words, if a government is not anti-US, it MUST be a puppet government. Sheesh.

Better to have a democratic government that does business with the U.S., and improve the standard of living for Iraqis long term, than have a Taliban or another rash dictatorship.

  9. Poll shows Iraqis back attacks on UK, US forces

    From Reuters:

LONDON (Reuters) - Forty-five percent of Iraqis believe attacks on U.S. and British troops are justified, according to a secret poll said to have been commissioned by British defense leaders and cited by The Sunday Telegraph.

Less than 1 percent of those polled believed that the forces were responsible for any improvement in security, according to poll figures.

Eighty-two percent of those polled said they were "strongly opposed" to the presence of the troops.

The paper said the poll, conducted in August by an Iraqi university research team, was commissioned by the Ministry of Defense.

Britain has more than 8,000 troops stationed in the south of Iraq, and has had 97 soldiers killed, the most recent the victim of a roadside bomb on Tuesday night.

Afghanistan seems to be doing quite well with their now drug producing economy. Nation building at its finest hour.

I used to think that Weal was a bit misguided but basically a good guy who needed a bit more enlightment.

Weal is having his head stuck so far up his arse that the only thing that comes out of his mouth is shit.

He has not yet learned that respect is something that has to be earned and he is lucky that he is where he is.

There are some places on this planet where if one would behave the way he is doing they would tie him to a tree and cut off his dick and stick it in his mouth and leave him to bleed to death.

Which I think is a rather appropriate way of setting an example to others.

It is time for me to put him on ignore.
