    Yeah I saw Perfect Circle also. They put on a sick show. Maynard was wearing a long blond wig, some tighty whiteys, and some Kmart shower shoes. I couldn't believe it....he's one strange dude. You have to respect him musically though...

    Oh by the way, RATM - Rage Against The Machine. Now tell me you've never heard of them....

    max what is your deal??? so what if rs7 is off a year or 2...it was 30 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i loved football back then, much more than i do today...over the weekend i was recalling the 68' or 69 cotton bowl played by texas and arkansas for the national championship. i would like to think my memory is pretty good but reality sets in. i think the score was 7 to 6 texas winning. my favorite quarterback was mike montgomery who played for the razorbacks. if i can recall correctly richard nixon was at the game. so why don't you do your little research and correct me....i would love to know what is reality and what i made up. oh yeah, in 1970 there were 2 wide receivers that played in the NFL named gene washington number 19 i think both wore. one played for the niners and one for the vikings, could you look this up too...i'd appreciate it. here's one last recall...johnny musso, running back for the tide, 1970...got slaughtered in the orange bowl by nebraska. HEY, here's another one you little sleuth, 1970 superbowl, vikings/chiefs...dawson vs joe capp...capp breaks an arm and dawson kicks ass.... now hurry off to do ur i-spy stuff!!!!!

    That would be a big step up. 777 has a brain and a sense of humor. He dishes it out, but he has fun doing it....there is entertainment value. Not just hate, anger and such total sadness..

    Remember the photo of Carl Eller towering over a wide angle lens, looked about 30 feet tall? The caption was "Mr. Dawson, there's a Mr. Eller here to see you".

    (maybe in Sports Illustrated? well I don't have to remember exactly because Max will correct me right or wrong).

  7. The difference between the examples you gave is that you were not attending the schools represented in the Cotton Bowl or you would have remembered with distinct detail.

    Rs7 tell us of a monumental (and presumambly memorable as he makes such a big deal about it) event that happened while he was a student, i.e. the very FIRST African-American football player to attend UM.

    However, a few simple questions and it turns out that:

    1.This event rs7 brags about occurred AFTER he left the school;

    2. That the player he is so demonstrative about wasn't the first black player, he was the THIRD;

    3. The very FIRST black player to attend UM was in 1966, certainly a large event for UM at the time, presumably when rs7 was a sophmore, if he even attended UM, which is now doubtful;

    4. When rs7 was a Senior, the SECOND black player came to UM.

    Rs7 attended the University of Miami during the FIRST and SECOND of these identical events, but now says that he witnessed the FIRST occurance. When challenged he says yes, that the player was the FIRST, but was redshirted, when in fact that player was still in high school. This is beyond the normal bounds of a "challenged memory moment."

    I was about to reply again with a little sacastic humor but i see that you are dead serious. Why can't you just let this antagonism go? in my opinion you are the one looking foolish. i graduated in 88' and i have trouble remembering what my major was. i don't know how old you are but give us all a break.....things don't work like they used to. why can't you just agree to disagree with rs7? i am glad you aren't dogging me because i would probably leave the board at that point.

  9. Gotta agree with Max here, unless RS7 is going senile in his old age. Too many discrepancies!

    So we've got the point, Max. RS7 likes to exaggerate but don't we all to some degree? When will the inquisition end?
