Even today, Treasury got $6.2 BILLION from selling Citi stock: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Treas...2.html?x=0&sec=topStories&pos=2&asset=&ccode= Banks are selling, yet nobody's buying. Individuals are so broke and indebted to buy stocks (actually they are digging into their retirement plans).
If Citi goes to $2, I'd hate to have been a buyer here - from my own government. But, governments run lotteries against the public for their own benefit, so it's not a surprise.
