Some of the most religious people are Cons and ex-Cons.

Don't confuse religion with purity. Most re-born people are not saints.

    The left always cry hypocrisy
thinking the Right live clean and pure. In reality it is only the Right that knows how to live morally and ethically and we try hard to achieve it. Whereas the Left have no morals and ethics to achieve.

With a federal corruption investigation circling around Rep. John P. Murtha’s ties to a Washington lobbying firm, Democrats risk being tarred with the same “culture of corruption” label that helped them retake Congress in 2006.

Being religious is a standard we set and try to achieve all our lives. We agree to certain ways of living and we struggle to live a good life. Yes , people of religion do know what a perfect life would be in the eyes of God. We are not afraid to tell others we believe this way of live is most civil and tolerant of others while maintaining morals and ethics that are for the better good.

We hope by the time we die God will forgive us of our shortcomings and look at the effort to lead the good life.

If you feel we are preaching to you it is not because we are perfect it is because the bible had told us what we need to be perfect.

To non-believers there are no thresholds of quality life, it is whatever feel good. within that group of non-believers some claim gay sex is ok, others claim pedophile within community norms is proper, to others man-boy love is proper. There are really no limits. Even murder, many non-believers believe in partial birth abortions.

  7. Brilliant,

As long as I do not believe in god I can kill, rob, use drugs, be corrput and behave as I see fit.

Perhaps "do you believe in god" should be incorporated into the miranda reading at the time of arrest and if the answer is no, clearly no crime has been committed.

    Idiot.

  8. Michael C. Skakel (born September 19, 1960) was convicted in 2002 of the 1975 murder of Martha Moxley, his fifteen-year-old neighbor in Greenwich, Connecticut. Skakel's father is the brother of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy's widow, Ethel.

Michael Skakel was one of six children born to Rushton and Anne Reynolds Skakel. The family lived in the neighborhood of Belle Haven in Greenwich, Connecticut. After his mother's death from brain cancer in 1973, Skakel became an alcoholic[1] and had difficulties at school. His cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. later wrote that Skakel was a "small sensitive child -- the runt of the litter with a harsh and occasionally violent alcoholic father who both ignored and abused him."[2]

In 1978, Skakel was arrested for drunken driving in New York. [3] To avoid criminal charges, Skakel's family sent him to the Elan School in Poland Spring, Maine where he received treatment for his addiction. He left the school after two years and spent much of the 1980s competing on the national speed skiing circuit. [4] In 1993, he graduated from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts and worked as a driver for Ted Kennedy's 1994 reelection campaign. Later that year he took a job working for his cousin Michael Kennedy at the Citizens' Energy Corporation as director of international programs.

  9. 2004 sexual assault civil charges
In 2004, a former employee of the Center for International Rehabilitation, Audra Soulias, alleged that Smith had sexually assaulted her in 1999, and brought a civil action against him. Smith denied her charges, calling them "outrageous" and saying that "family and personal history have made me unusually vulnerable to these kinds of charges" [3] and resigned from the CIR. On January 5, 2005, the court dismissed Soulias's lawsuit. [4]

In the same time period, it was reported that Laura Hamilton was paid a large sum of money by Smith in an out-of-court settlement. Laura Hamilton charged that Smith "often improperly touched her" and "gave unwanted massages." A draft complaint states, "Dr. Smith continued to rub Ms. Hamilton's belly, inched his hand below her waist, and stuck his tongue in her ear." [5]
