    From Zaz Hollander in Wasilla:

Todd Palin’s half-sister was arrested Thursday after police say she broke into a Wasilla home for the second time this week to steal money.

Palin is the husband of Gov. Sarah Palin. He declined comment.

Diana Palin, 35, entered a home near Wasilla’s Multi-Use Sports Complex and attempted to steal cash from the owner’s bedroom, police said.

She also broke into the same house on Tuesday and stole $400, they said.

She was arrested Thursday morning on felony charges of first-degree burglary and misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and theft, police said. Friday morning, she remained jailed at Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer in lieu of $10,000 bail and court-approved third party custodian.

Diana and her husband, Scott McLean, live in a different neighborhood from the location of the home she is accused of burglarizing.

McLean said Friday he didn’t recognize the street where his wife was arrested and had no idea why she might do what police say she did. McLean described Diana Palin asa stay-at-home mom who takes good care of their two young children.

McLean said he got a call Thursday around 10:30 a.m. from police, asking him to come pick up their 4-year-old daughter, and has heard nothing since.

    Friday April 3, 2009

In an interview that airs Monday on The Tyra Banks Show, Levi Johnston admits he and Bristol Palin were allowed to share a room at Sarah's Alaskan home even though she probably knew they were having sex.

"I'm pretty sure she probably knew," says Johnston. "Moms are pretty smart."

Johnston, 19 and Palin, 18, called of their engagement in March. They welcomed Tripp Easton Mitchell on Dec. 27.

LAGUNA NIGUEL - The 24-year-old son of former Vice President Al Gore was arrested early this morning for possession of marijuana and controlled substances, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Al Gore III told deputies that he was on his way to San Diego when he was pulled over for going 100 mph on the southbound I-5 near the Crown Valley exit.

Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said that deputies stopped Gore's blue Toyota Prius at 2:15 a.m. and smelled marijuana when they approached the car. A search revealed numerous small quantities of prescription drugs, including Vicodin, Xanex, Valium and Soma, he said.

"He did not have a prescription for any of these dangerous drugs," Amormino said.

Gore, a resident of Los Angeles, was driving alone in the car, Amormino said. He cooperated with deputies and acknowledged he was the son of the former vice president.

He was booked on $20,000 bail and remained in custody this morning in the inmate reception center at the Santa Ana Jail.

Kalee Kreider, a spokeswoman for his parents, did not return phone messages to The Associated Press Wednesday morning.

The son of the former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee also was pulled over and arrested for pot possession in December 2003, in Bethesda, Md., while he was a student at Harvard University.

He completed substance abuse counseling as part of a pretrial diversion program to settle those charges.

The youngest of Al and Tipper Gore's four children and their only son, Gore lives in Los Angeles and is an associate publisher of GOOD, a magazine about philanthropy aimed at young people.

  5. When former President Clinton was Governor of Arkansas, Roger pleaded guilty to cocaine distribution in 1984 and served one year of a two-year sentence in return for testifying against a number of other defendants.[2] Subsequently, his brother granted him a pardon amongst the list of pardons issued on January 19, 2001. Roger also submitted six names for his half-brother to pardon, most of them conspirators in his drug dealings. The president reportedly turned all of Roger’s recommendations down.[2]

However, Roger continued to court legal trouble. On February 17, 2001, less than a month after he was pardoned,[2] he was arrested and charged with two counts of drunken driving and one for disturbing the peace. In a deal that spared him jail time, Roger Clinton pleaded guilty to a non-alcohol-related charge of reckless driving.

The daughter of Vice President Joe Biden was allegedly videoed snorting cocaine, US press has reported Photo: AP
The New York Post and Radar online reported that lawyers representing the seller, who said he was a "friend", claimed that the footage was alleged to be of Ashley Biden, 27, a social worker, at a party and initially wanted some $2 million for the tape. They described the seller as a "friend" of Miss Biden.

Mr Biden coined the term "drugs czar" and has been an outspoken supporter of the "war on drugs" waged by the United States. Miss Biden is his youngest child. He has two sons from his first marriage. His first wife and their 18-month-old daughter Naomi were killed in a car crash in 1972.

Murdered British student Meredith Kercher had 23 injuries"On the tape a man cuts up five lines of what is said to be cocaine," Radar online reported." The woman who the seller says is Ashley then jokes with the man that the lines aren't big enough.

"The man hands her a rolled-up dollar bill and she proceeds to walk a few steps to a table where the cocaine is cut. She pulls her hair back, bends down and snorts a line."

There was no immediate response to the allegations from Mr Biden, his daughter or the White House.

The woman on the tape swore. The party was said to have taken place in Wilmington, Delaware and the lawyer said that Miss Biden's boyfriend was there and clearly identifiable on the tape.

Miss Biden was arrested in 2002 for shouting at a Chicago policeman who was trying to arrest a disorderly friend outside a nightclub. She was also arrested in 1999 for marijuana possession while she was a university student in New Orleans. In both cases, charges were later dropped.
