All eyes on CPI data tomorrow

Discussion in 'Trading' started by Innervoice, Jun 9, 2022.

  1. It feels a bit odd that White House gives a heads up that CPI reading might be elevated. Are they trying to soften the blow if the CPI is indeed high, or play some psychology games (market rallies if CPI is actually 0.1% lower than expected)?

  2. God, the f'n White House/Government...they have been wrong about literally everything, and they try to deny and defend their logic after the fact.
Dot com bust, housing market and crash, Coronavirus spread, Inflation, Wars, energy, gas,
Contain the lie as much as possible, only soften the truth as a last resort.

It ultimately boils down to the current President. He wants his Economy to Boom, no matter what the costs or risks.
Bill Clinton is guilty of this. George Bush is guilty of this. Barack Obama is guilty of this. Donald Trump is guilty of this. and now, Joe Biden is guilty of this.
110% efforts on Booming Your Economy...no matter what the costs and risks may be. And transfer the blame mess to the next administration to deal with.

Every major company CEO knows the economy is heading into a recession, for some time now. But the White House will downplay it all, of course.

In a democracy, people get the govt they voted for. They get what they deserve. The question is not why they get so much wrong, why are they not held accountable? If not held accountable, expect more of the same.

  5. They used to be held accountable by journalists. I do believe that still happens but today, the corporate news media drowns out everything else.

In a Republic/Democracy we get what we deserve.

Maybe one day we will be one man/woman one vote.

Nah that would be common sense at work, and wingnuts might never win again.

The CPI number coming out soon. This could be the next big movement (up or / and down) in the market. We shall see. suggest you close your open position before the CPI data release.

Are you aware that the number of votes cast in the 2020 presidential election totaled up to a figure greater than the total number of registered voters in the united states?
    Hmmmm?
Now. How can such a thing be blamed on the voters.
    Your turn....

  9. Come on man, we know they rigged the election. 80 million people did NOT vote for a corpse.

That being said, some of my retarded friends in Texas did... So....
