Well, I have decided that this thread has run is course for me anyway. I have nothing further to add and am hitting the "Stop Following This Thread" button now. See you guys around in other threads. So Long for now.
I am back. I changed my mind. I suppose I was afraid you guys might eventually say something that was worth my time reading. One thing I am curious about, Good1. What planet are you from? In all your posts I have not been able to understand a single thing you are trying to say. I do not know whether you are a genius or are totally crazy or a little of both. Your brain is just on a totally different frequency than mine. Maybe the evilmouse or Overnight can explain you to me.
Welcome back! Ya, I have Good1 on block due to nutcase, but lately thinking he might actually have something. But agree, difficult to understand, but I think what he's saying, the world was created by satan, not God, and we are satan's creation. I think that is the gyst of it, I would need to read his posts over and over for it to sink in a bit better. When I say Good1 might have something, he may have a theory worth thinking about. But to be honest, for me, religion is mostly bs (not 100% bs, maybe 90% bs) and I'm not too fussed by following religous theories.
https://apnews.com/article/entertainment-health-baptist-religion-c7c5f62a5737b3aee20ceaa3f99ab603 #ChurchToo revelations growing, years after movement began .......“For us it’s just confirmation of what we’ve been saying all these years,” said Jimmy Hinton, an advocate for abuse survivors and a Church of Christ minister in Somerset, Pennsylvania. “There is an absolute epidemic of abuse in the church, in religious spaces.”..... What does that say about christianity? You can talk until the cows come home, but results is what matters more.
Thanks for helping me understand Good1 a little. That is wild and he is even crazier than I thought if that is where he is coming from. As far as religion is concerned I agree with most of your criticisms of the church today and the pontifications of pompous charlatans, especially whatever comes out of Rome. The bottom line is this. "It is appointed to a man once to die and then the judgment". We will stand before God and answer to Him individually. You cannot blame the religious establishment for misrepresenting Him and turning you off. The starting point is a simple belief than God did create all that is in existence. Then take the Bible seriously. Any book that has accurately predicted the future needs to be reckoned with.
It appears someone has said something about me? Would that be studentofthegodofthisworld? I can't tell because he is hiding behind the ignore button here. That's fine. While he does, I've assumed he stays in his lane. But if he's characterizing me, without my ability to correct the record, then I would consider that unethical. Would someone here care to quote what someone has said about me so I can respond?
So you're not going to respond to those quotes I brought forth from the gospel of John? Nor the critique of the wider context of Paul's famous "no excuse" narrative showing his cognitive dissonance? You're just going to ignore it and keep hammering away with fear porn irregardless of Jesus own basic bottom line: "Fear not". ? Is that your plan? The only existing existence is Christ. Through your belief, you are adding yourself to that existence, in direct competition, and are asking for allies. I would not call that a very good starting point. But you can build on sand all you wish...till the tide washes away your framed structure. Taking insane notions about Christ seriously is a problem, and is the definition of sin. You appear unwilling to address exposure indicating the book promotes cognitive dissonance by speaking from both sides of it's tongue. It has not, and you know it. One of the prime predictions is Jesus will return, while he has not. Even more, his intention to return is contradicted by what I quoted yesterday from the gospel of John, in which he is said to have said, "...and you will no longer see me."
