If one wants to source inspiration about life from the bible, fine, but bare in mind, reading inspiration from any book be it, Robert Kyosaki on finance 'rich dad poor dad' will often times be just as beneficial.
The bible is none other than a book written by man, to believe it was written by the 'force of the universe', is just plain dumb.
As soon as one believes the bible is 100% correct and God inspired, you are off into fairytale land, the land of gnomes, fairies, goblins and unicorns.

  2. To NOT believe it is just plain dumb. You will realize that one day but it will be too late to save you. The Bible verifies itself. All you have to do is study it.

  3. Mickey, You admit you don't know anything but you definitely know what it is NOT. Fuzzy logic.

What is dependent personality disorder (DPD)?
Mental health experts describe personality as a person’s way of thinking, feeling and behaving. A personality disorder affects the way people think or act, making them behave differently over time.

Dependent personality disorder (DPD) is one of 10 types of personality disorders. Other types include antisocial personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder and paranoid personality disorder. Dependent personality disorder usually starts during childhood or by the age of 29.

People with DPD have an overwhelming need to have others take care of them (Jesus). Often, a person with DPD relies on God for their emotional or physical needs. Others may describe them as needy or clingy.

People with DPD may believe they can’t take care of themselves. They may have trouble making everyday decisions, such as what to do, without Jesus reassurance.

Statistics show that roughly 10% of adults have a personality disorder. Less than 1% of adults meet the criteria for DPD. More women than men tend to have DPD.

Fear of “going it alone,” always second-guessing yourself, and depending on reassurance.

Dependent personality disorder is defined as a very intense and overwhelming need to be cared for — often accompanied by fears of being alone, abandoned, or disappointing others.

Folks with this condition might’ve been described as “clingy” or “needy.” But others may just not understand the persistent self-doubt experienced, or that you’re just trying to feel comfort or get direction on what to do.

Signs of this personality disorder usually start to appear in early adulthood.

Peter Pan syndrome is a metaphor based on the concept of not growing up, and being trapped in childhood. The phrase has also been used to describe companies who avoid productivity-enhancing technologies and remain small.

It is a pop-psychology term used to describe an adult who is socially immature.

Peter Pan Syndrome, given “it usually affects dependent people who have been overprotected by their families and haven’t developed the necessary skills to confront life.” The ‘Peter Pans’ of present society “see the adult world as very problematic and glorify adolescence, which is why they want to stay in that state of privilege.”

    More men than women affected

Peter Pan Syndrome can affect both sexes, but it appears more often among men. Some characteristics of the disorder are the inability of individuals to take on responsibilities, to commit themselves or to keep promises, excessive care about the way they look and personal well-being and their lack of self-confidence, even though they don’t seem to show it and actually come across as exactly the opposite.

The UGR professor declares that these people are usually scared of loneliness, which is why they try to surround themselves with people who can meet their needs. “They become anxious when they are evaluated by their work colleagues or their superiors, given they are completely intolerant towards any criticism. Sometimes they can have serious adaptation problems at work or in personal relationships.”

Another characteristic of people suffering from the ‘Peter Pan Syndrome’ is that they are constantly changing partners and looking for younger ones. “Whenever the relationship starts to ask for a high level of commitment and responsibility, they become afraid and break it up. Relationships with younger women have the advantage of being able to live by the day without any worries, and they also involve less future plans, therefore less responsibilities.”

  6. Mickey, What is this all about? You doing a research project for a college psych class? I hear people study psychology so they can diagnose themselves.

If you are ever sick, wave the cross around.
If the pastor of the church can't keep his penis in his pants, then whack his willy with the fucking cross.
The cross is a handy tool.

If you hang a lucky charm cross from the mirror, you don't need accident insurance as you'll never have a prang, works like magic.
