What proof have you of being right? Don't quote the bible, as the bible only bares witness to itself.
You are the proof. This passage speaks of you. You consider the "message of the cross foolishness." The phrase "message of the cross" is referring to the Christian belief that Jesus shed his blood on the cross for the forgiveness of sin for all who accept it.
@themickey, one proof that is easily seen is the conscience. People's consciences tell them that they are guilty. The world tries to say that guilt is a bad thing, and tries to hide it. But if the world is really a product of evolution, then why are they trying to hide it? Why aren't evolutionists embracing guilt and saying that guilt is useful for showing us our wrong behavior? A Christian does not have guilt in the same way as those without Christ because we know we have been made accepted through Jesus, so we can put guilt to work, to say yes, I did wrong, and the wrong behavior needs to be dealt with, but it is on the basis of being loved and forgiven by God. Those without God as Savior will know Him only as Judge in the day of Judgment. It is your guilt that can help you see your need for the Savior, and if you choose, it can help you to turn to Him and be saved. So, the proof is that you know that you have done wrong and you know that if a completely righteous Judge were to examine your thoughts and life without mercy, that you would be found guilty by Him as well. Now is the time when mercy is offered to sinners, after this life, there is no more mercy offered. ONLY the blood of Jesus can wash away the guilt of your sins. https://www.openbible.info/topics/your_sins_i_will_remember_no_more Hebrews 8:12 ESV / 114 helpful votes For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” Isaiah 43:25 ESV / 114 helpful votes “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Back to bible nonsense again, that's the only anchor you have in life, pure propoganda ..... "will set you free" - "blind will see" - "heal you" - "saved" - "have no fear" - "keep in perfect peace" - "though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand" - "They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - "in all things God works for the good of those who love him," - "When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." - "no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.".... and more, I can go on and on. You christian guys believe this stuff, even though it doesn't work in real life and according to the bible scripture promises, you keep believing it. Bible passages don't mean diddly squat, it can speak of me till the cows come home, its pure empty rhetoric. But you guys, I'm amazed how stupid humans can be, its not only Nazis and Russians, Chinese, North Koreans etc brainwashed by their leaders, it's also christians.
I was one of you once, I fell in the trap, I was an idiot, I believed all this nonsense, so I'm not judging you guys. As mentioned, humans make mistakes, we are easily conned.
Here we go again, fear mongering. Christianity, the religion of fear and marketing. Fear and marketing as a tool to funnel sheeple down their religous chute. Christians response to logical reasoning, use fear and superstition to thwart it. Fear of God, fear of the devil and demons, damnation, pain, retribution, hell, punishment, eternity of suffering, wrath. All pie in the sky because it will happen in the future where it can't be proved nor disproved. Cultists love bullshit.
Christianity is like an insurance policy, better have it, you just never know. But like most insurance policies, they're a scam, take your money but don't payout. Christian logic, "I'd better play it safe, better bondage on earth for x amount of years than eternity in bondage".
