So you mean the Bible, because that is what became of the group think of satan, praying for miracles, cultism, prophesies, delusion, etc. The Bible did not suddenly become a thing. It evolved through the collective group think of the world before it existed. The Bible was not the manual. The stuff that existed BEFORE the Bible existed, and became the Bible, was the manual.
Hell is a quasi universe which competes with the original universe. The original is the one that is infinite. By contrast, hell has a beginning and and end. It is born of change, and will end by change. The original doesn't change. The Original Universe, Christ, and Reality are the same thing. As such, hell is a quasi self, an imposter which steals all the qualities of the original and tries to apply to the neo self. The very term "universe" implies it contains everything. Actually, Christ is Everything, a quality stolen by the neo world order. The phrase, "The kingdom of god is within you" challenges each ear (some will hear but not all will listen) to re-assess the scope of one's Self.
Back to the Bible. It was written over a period of 2,000 years by over 40 men. It stands firm even though you attack it so. The Old Testament and the New dove tail together like a glove fits a hand. It is beyond time and space and truly is an inspired message from God to us. You talk about prophecies like it is a bad thing but no other tells the future before it has happened. Daniel 9:25 specifies the exact time between two events -- from the command to rebuild Jerusalem to the coming of Messiah the Price. Both events are recorded in the Bible cumulating when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on April 6, AD32 with the people proclaiming Him as "He who comes in the Name of the Lord", the first time Jesus was publicly recognized as the Messiah. Jesus held the people accountable for not knowing the time of their visitation and that Jerusalem would be totally destroyed because of it. In AD 70 it was. Another 56 prophecies were fulfilled the day Israel became a nation in 1948. As for praying for miracles, I have seen that happen. This winter my wife had Covid really bad. one morning I got a call at 5:30 AM that she had taken a sudden turn for the worse. She had blood clots in both lungs, respiratory failure, heart failure and a new bacterial lung infection that was resistant to the drugs they had been giving her for a week, and had to be intubated. The doctors had the hospital Chaplin call me to prepare me for the worst. I had seen her go downhill steadily for 5 weeks and had finally given up. To God Be The Glory that her prayer army stepped it up and the next day she started to improve and she is now home after 45 days in the hospital. As far as satan and his dominions. My youngest son got deeply involved in the occult in high school and I know first hand the horror of the demonic. It was a 3 year nightmare. If evidence of satan is evidence for God in your mind, then you do not have to do too much research to find your proof. Without an understanding of the Bible, when they finally make the world wide disclosure of aliens and their visitation to earth and actually produce one, the masses will believe that they really are aliens when the reality is that they will be demonic beings probably Nephilim. And their UFOs are not from outer space but from another dimension. Well guys, your beliefs appear to be firm and not likely to change which baffles me to a great extent because they lead you to a despairing end. It would seem that you would grab onto a loving God and embrace Him.
I am not trying to be cute here but I do not understand a single thing of what you are trying to say.
Very few understand the phrase: "The kingdom of god is within you". It's a direct challenge to who/whom/what you think you are. You have to re-assess the scope of what/who/whom you think you are to begin to comprehend what Jesus is saying. Anyway, as that applies to hell. It is where the "prodigal son" goes to spend his inheritance unwisely. That is, the making of hell is what the entire inheritance is spent on. If your inheritance is the entire power of god, so-to-speak, then you could potentially "create" an entire universe. Then you could call that universe "home". As such, hell is in direct competition with the original "kingdom of god", for the title "universe", which is a description to comprise everything. In naming itself everything, hell intends to eclipse, edge out, and/or otherwise obliterate the memory of any kind of original universe. The original universe is not a "place" like hell. The original is a being (remember, "the kingdom of god is within you"). The entire universe is alive, as that being, and comprises the entirety of everything, besides which, nothing else exists. If i then were to personify the original universe, and give it a name, i would call it "Christ". But it doesn't have a name. I could also call it Reality, with a capital R. As such, conversely, if you were to personify hell is a being, i would call that being an imposter. Synonyms of imposter include: impersonator masquerader pretender -"pretender to the throne" deceiver hoaxer fake fraud sham humbug charlatan quack mountebank trickster fraudster If the original universe ("kingdom") is Christ. Then hell is the "anti-Christ". Anti, meaning, whatever Christ actually is, hell proposes some alternative and sets about proving that the alternative is the truth and/or real (same thing). For example, if Christ is life, then hell is death, and it intends to prove that death is the truth/real. If Christ is the truth/reality, then hell proposes that it, itself, is Christ. That, basically defines what it means to be an imposter. Anyway, this is how the prodigal son has spend his inheritance, until he had no more power. Mankind is a product of that spending spree, and as you can see, mankind is arguably powerless to change his circumstances. Hell has a beginning, because the original universe does not. And if hell is eternal, then the original universe, Christ, must have an end, because they cannot coexist. So there is quite a struggle for all of Christ's titles. You can tell whose side anybody is on, anytime they take qualities that belong to Christ, and apply them to themselves, and/or to the "universe" they call "home" and think of as "everything". In this struggle, there is no neutral ground. You are either for, or against Christ. The "big bang" is an appropriate beginning for hell, because it intends to, or at least functions to, completely destroy what came before. It's important to note, however, that the prodigal son merely intended to seek for MORE. As such, hell is not merely the personification of death. Hell intends to have life, as well as more than life. Functionally, what is more than life manifests as something new, what we call "death", but which is actually rapid radical change. In attempting to have more, hell is a home for those comfortable with the idea that life and death can co-exist. This is manifest in mankind, which seems to prove that both life and death, is the truth. The initial motive is to have MORE (more than Christ). The manifest effect is to have the opposite (anti). [edit: i would add that hell functions as less, not more, because all of the qualities of the original, Christ, are maximal. It is simply not possible to have MORE life than Christ already has. This is ultimately why MORE functions as opposite/anti. For the prodigal son, the road leading away from the original kingdom was paved with good intentions. There is technically nothing wrong with more, if it means maximum. There is nothing wrong with the maximum. There is nothing wrong with Christ.)
This Jesus stuff, christians love to make up elaborate stories. The whole bible is stories, from Genesis to Revelations. No one can comprehend it all. Even the Jews can't comprehend exactly the OT, inspite of several thousand years of studying it. I'm agnostic, not athiest, I don't know where I came from nor know the future. And I'm not even gonna try and work it out because its futile.
When your mind isn't closed, many world views are possible. Cosmic inevitability or cosmic magic sky wizard for instance. Chemical inevitability or cosmic magic sky wizard is another. No, it really doesn't. Not when when you actually look and not just believe or just imagine as you seem to. Any hoooo.... everyone knows by now there's only one world view that counts and it is that the Spaghetti Monster (sauce be upon Him) created everything and had much more fun doing it.
I feel for you guys especially Mickey. If anyone at some point wants to dive in and explore having a real saving relationship with the living true God you can PM me otherwise I am bowing out of this thread. My head can only take so much beating it against the wall.
Never gonna happen - NEVER EVER! Why double down on something that's proven doesn't work. Faith and trust into a pen of sheep who baaaaaa away at the bible, surely you jest, only a donkey would consider that.
The psychology of christianity is all wrong, I've detailed this before. If someone is trying to be something that someone else is dictating the terms, then it wont work. Trying to be a certain type of person because of the bible or peer pressure is not a winning formula. The only way something works is because YOU want it! The bible is ok for kids to learn moral behaviour, but adults need weening off group think about how you should live your life. Just like traders need to leave trading books and gurus behind and begin planning their own strategies.
