Alive and Well

Discussion in 'Prop Firms' started by Don Bright, Sep 2, 2003.

  1. I read it again...and i still think you were taking shots at him 'closing all the small offices".....is this your way of trying to scare some small offices over to your firm? You were also intimating in another post to the owner of Redwood that what they were offering was not legal...and if that wasn't enough you also were active in the AB Watley discussion and announced that the CEO was arrested....can we cut to the chase? What firm are you at and what is your agenda??

That's my point. I will not tell my firm nor do I have an agenda. Maybe the only one here who doesn't. Why do you assume I have one. If you read the psots with me and Mr. Armstrong, I posted that I got a very satisfactory PM and I would withdraw my public question if he wants or if I knew how. As far as AB Watley is concerned I recall I wrote that what I had heard from a trader there was "unsubstantiated" meaning that it was not fact yet and I was trying to give Watley the benefit of the doubt. I posted about Watley some months ago too if recollection serves me correctly.

Everyone is so defensive around here they assume you hava an agenda other than fact. I don't. I am not promoting anything nor trying to get you to join a firm. If you go through my posts you will see that I am a streaky poster. I will post for a while then stop.

My only agenda is to question assumptions that are taken as gospel. I seek the truth. Often I am wrong, sometimes I am right. Regardless, I keep an open mind.

I have nothing against Mr. Bright. He posts a lot and makes big statements. I have questioned them in the past. In this case I simply tried to interpret and analyze his post. Once again your bias is showing. Small is NOT a negative word. It is a descriptive fact. I happen to trade in a small office and like it btw.

I have nothing against you either. I am not sure why you think I have an agenda.

Do you have an agenda I should know about?

  3. Yes...I am starting a GAY Mens trading group and would like you to be our sponsor:D :D :D

...Im kidding around and apologize if you feel im flaming you...i have NOTHING to do with Don but i often notice he gets a lot of grief on this board for self promotion, when in fact, he PAYS to have the right on this board...anyway, no hard feelings, I just thought it was a nice little article on our industry as a whole and i thought you were giving Don grief like so many on this board do.

Just goes to show how too cynical an attitude - however
inadvertent - can lead to misunderstanding.

Too much of anything, for that matter.....like seisan's sometimes
    "post-shouting".....wrongly perceived as an "agenda".

Boy, how that word AGENDA can be used as a belittling
    accusation!

Way too many sharp minds here on ET to get bogged down in
demeaning slams (however obtuse) with the resulting defensive machinations. cool:

    Right?

We part from this thread in peace!

    Seisan,

RIGHT you are. Trading makes us cynical. Sometimes it is what it is, no more, no less.

    Uh-Oh, TM's on to us!

He's realized that Bright's founders were card counters and did well until they were barred from the casinos, then they looked around and found a bigger "casino" to play in that doesn't bar them from using their gaming theory knowledge.

So, when these successful gamers aren't allowed to play in the casinos anymore, we're they're for them to follow the Bright path to the markets and apply their gaming theory there. They don't even have to leave Vegas!
