He went into a defamation lawsuit because he didn't know how to say "I'm sorry...I was wrong...it was not a hoax"...what the parents originally wanted. Now he's on the verge of getting slam dunked with a multiple million dollar defamation verdict and then purgers himself so that the COURTS (not the parents) can go after him criminally at a time when the country still is dealing with another mass school shooting that resulted in many dead children (e.g. Uvalde). Freedom of speech is a double-edged sword that can change the course of many things; lives, civilizations, even history. For many people this liberty to express their feelings and beliefs has been beneficial. Unfortunately, the same liberty has been counterproductive for many people. It's time for him to beg the Parents for forgiveness, shed some tears in court while he's doing it in hopes the parents don't get the full +$150 million from the jury, and then hope the COURTS let this idiot go to just be done with him...
