The constitution was a good start but has been altered before and is subject to change now to adapt to our rapidly changing world. That's a good thing. There have been 27 amendments to the constitution. The last one occurring 1992. It's called progress. But an amendment to the 2nd is not needed, only reasonable laws associated with it need be enacted.
That's your first sensible post I've read in about a month. Yes, the Constitution can be amended, changed, added to, or taken away. Even the 2nd Amendment. In order to that you'll need 3/4ths of the State legislatures to ratify. Until then, the right to keep and bears arms shall NOT be infringed Have a nice day
I don't plan on being "reasonable" because dipshits like you have a penchant for doing a bait in switch with the definitions of words .
The Bill of Rights was ratified very quickly after the Constitution itself. In fact, many of the Founders who were uncomfortable with the Constitution demanded assurance that the Bill of Rights (or whatever preceded it) would be passed if they voted for the Constitution. So the Bill of Rights is essentially part of the Constitution. Since then it has been a mixed bag. Off the top of my head the good Amendments are like the 14th and whichever one abolished slavery, then you have prohibition (lol) and income taxes. Sure progress has been made to some degree but because of loopholes the fed govt has simply trampled the boundaries established in the Constitution.. if you've read it, then you know that is a true statement. Anyway, I've seen your idea of new gun laws and they are just arbitrary. Since the purpose of the 2nd Amendment is protection against govt, then civilian gun laws need to be relative to govt. An ATF agent shouldn't be able to carry something which YOU can't. A pop gun just isn't a valid check.
Apparently you, like the other gun-nuts, hear the phrase "banning all guns" whenever the phrase "reasonable restrictions" is mentioned. Maybe the act of shooting guns causes hearing problems. Maybe the lead in the bullets causes brain damage.
Piers Morgan looked like a weak-sister after Alex got through with him, calling Morgan a "hatchet man for the NWO". Seriously, some of you gun-grabbers remind me of weak-sisters just like him(Morgan). Alex stuck his neck out for all freedom-lovers.
