Al Gore's house runs on green power

excuse me, i am simply NOT disappointed by Al Gore.
i think he is very authentic and has been spending
much time and energy for a noble cause. you think
that a former vice president is not allowed to speak
about energy consumption when he spends 8times
the average. but i think you are missing the entire
point of his endeavour if you dismiss it that easily.

so, i respect that you have a different opinion than
me, but you seem to be unable to accept that i am
not willing to repeat what you believe in.

now, again, "points" and "evidence". if global warming
is a serious threat (and if you do not believe that gore
truly believes it, than stop replying, please.), than it is
for the benefit of all that al gore makes the issue heard
all over the globe, no matter if he spends the avg or
eight times of that. this is pure logic. if survival is the
utility function and al gore ensures it, than the cost
of him doing so is almost irrelevant. i prefer having
him pointing it out to some professor who consumes
1/8th of the average citizen and reaches twenty people
    per year.

now, maybe you could refer to this argument, which
you have failed so far by claiming there is none.

you just do not want to hear what i say. but i guess
i am hardly the one to blame for this.

  2. So as long as the message is good, it makes no difference who delivers it....That's interesting. The message is noble so the person delivering it may or may not have to live by the same code....That's cool if you really feel that way. I on the other hand believe it would be totally laughable if...

Mike Tyson gave passionate speeches about Peace in the world

Madonna wrote a book about and preached abstinence

Jenna Jamison gave speeches about Woman's rights.

Michael Jackson became a strong advocate for missing and exploited children..

Barry Bonds promoting steroid free athletics across the world.

The point of the messages above would be very admirable on their own basis....but coming from the person delivering the message it often would fall on hollow ears or make most people laugh.

  3. Al Gore has been an environmentalist since the 70's when he was holding congressional hearings on toxic waste. He drives hybrid vehicles, buy the carbon offsets when he flies, etc... This house thing is really blown out of proportion. Then again, whatya expect from Republicans. How's that war going? :p

  4. Guys, (and gals).

Please look up Global Temps 100 years ago and compare to now.

Then, what is the percentage of CO2?

Hmm. Less than 4 one hudredths of ONE percent.

Why can plants live on this?
Well, they don't tend to be active.

Guess what native Americans were doing to forests 500 years ago?

They were burning them to the ground.

    Why?

Cause an old growth forest is sterile. There is so much acid in the needles that nothing can grow or live. Its what they do.

So native Americans would burn em to the ground. This is a fact.

    Do the research people.

the rest of your post can hardly be taken serious and
you are well aware of that. you are heavily overshooting.
to an extent that makes your claim impossible to accept.
and you know that either. you must hate al gore quite
    intensively.

Regarding offsets, there is a good article how it works in BusinessWeek mag. . At best it's a phony solution (ala Hollywood), at worst it's con which would make few people rich and at the same time wouldn't solve anything.

  8. what part is not to be taken seriously? Do you read before you type? here it is again and READ the last two sentences ...And No I do not hat Al gore....I hate the fact that he is preaching like its a new religion but at the same time its business as usual for a rich guy who doesn't;t want his life impacted by any inconveniences

al gore has been lecturing on global warming for decades
and his household spends eight times the energy of an
    average american household.

now, excuse me, that is enough. if you do not see that
this comparison suchs deeply, it really makes no sense
    to continue this dialogue.

i do not only read, but think before i type. would recommend
it to both of you clowns. you are just talking for talking
sake. like kids leaning in the backyard playing big guys.

let us leave it like this. both of you, come with your
final repetition and then let us all move to something
more interesting than this discussion. thnx.

  10. Uhmmmm....your ok with what you just wrote? As long as you "talk and Lecture" about something for decades its ok to spend 8 times the energy of an American family????
    what a joke.

why would you then not accept a message of peace from Mike Tyson? he gets arrested about 8 times the avg person in america, but heck, its the message of peace that we should all follow:confused:
