tough to discuss that. the aggressive bias of fox is obvious to me. really hard to see why anybody could fail to recognise that.
i think you are profoundly wrong in that. and this being wrong is the main reason why the USA, despite their efforts and investments receive such bad critics. i find it very hard to believe in US claims for democracy after the supreme court decision in 2000. i find it very hard to believe the claim for freedom and the rule of law after (actually during) guantanamo bay. it really looks like that all the american schoolbook values are in place when they suit american interests and they are quickly thrown away at any other occasion. and this is just hard to swallow for non-US people. remember that ron paul vs. giuliani debate? i was really stunned about rudy's reply. he honestly seems to think that the US is the ultimate good and has nothing to do with anything bad on that planet. i truly believe that for their achievments americans are admired, adored, loved. but it is the dark side of ruling as a super power that gives people the feeling that the beautiful faces of the anchorwomen on TV are ... masks. and that it takes huge effort to keep those masks in shape. and by "dark side" i do not mean the inevitable wrong action once in a while. it seems more systematic. when a regime is pro-american, it is good and receives support, no matter if it is democratic or not. and the other way round. the US will never join the international court. for good reason. it makes them accountable. and they don't want that.
didn't seem like that. i read you were saying that 20 years ago they said we were going to freeze, now they say we are going to boil ... the first was wrong the second will be either. nevertheless it seems you can hardly write a single sentence without swearing. though "Mars is warming idiot" truly contains some entertaining quality ...
additional comment. i actually think they care more, but fox is not that good in ... what was the word ... journalism?
btw that is something new to me. people might like me or not, but no one really thought i was stupid as in "have a double digit IQ." or maybe you admire me and it was a compliment coming from a single digit source? if so, please aplogise and thnx for your nice words.
I'm sorry, but blaming US foreign policy failures on the rest of the world's jealousy is a joke. No educated person takes such an argument seriously. You have been taken in by some of the most transparently manipulative demagoguery in the history of American politics. While America is indeed rich and successful, and much of the world is certainly envious of our wealth, people don't fly planes into buildings because they wish they had XBox 360s. You are perhaps the last person left in America who believes that the spreading of democracy throughout the Middle East is a plausible long term outcome from the Iraq war. Of the 27 million liberated Iraqis, half believe their country was doing as well or better under Saddam Hussein, one of the worst dictators of the 20th century. Not much of a liberation if you ask me. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6451841.stm Martin
Do you really think Iraq is completely liberated yet? Maybe if the violence ever quits they will be just a little bit happier...
