. March 13, 2008 SouthAmerica: Watching the primaries on television for the US presidential election of 2008 has becoming an exercise of where is the lowest common denominator â in terms of intelligence. Why the average American takes so long to grasp even the most obvious things, even stuff that it has been beaten to death for the last year? It seems to me that only now the Barack Obama crew started figuring out that the Democratic Party primaries has been framed along the lines of gender and color of the skin. Why it is so hard for people to grasp that when the mainstream media is discussing the Democratic Party primaries and they have been talking all along about the possibility of the first woman or the first black man to be nominated by a major political party for a presidential election â the mainstream media is discussing the subject of gender and color of the skin. I wonder what kind of minimum I.Q. is necessary for people to be able to connect the dots and grasp this simple fact? I have been writing for a while and posted on my diaries at the Daily Kos that the Democratic Party have been split and that they donât have a chance in hell of winning the election in November 2008 if Hillary or Obama are the nominees for the general election. I have no doubt that both Democratic Party candidates are damaged goods right now and either candidate will not be able to win the election in November of 2008. Here is an article published today by The Boston Globe regarding the split of the Democratic Party among the lines of gender and color of the skin. If the Barack Obama handlers were reading the diaries posted at the Daily Kos then they would not be surprised that the mainstream media has framed this primary season a long time ago among the lines of gender and color of the skin. Here I am also posting some of the information that I have been posting on the Daily Kos website for many months. Enclosed I have only 5 of my latest postings since most of my postings on that website were in support for Al Gore running for president in 2008, and the people on that website asked me to write about something else then I wrote the enclosed 5 diaries. ********** âFerraro leaves Clinton camp over remarks on Obamaâ Comments shine spotlight on race and gender By Globe Staff And Associated Press The Boston Globe - March 13, 2008 Geraldine Ferraro stepped down from Hillary Clinton's national finance committee yesterday, but not before a controversy over remarks she made about Barack Obama exposed the politics of race and gender in the Democratic presidential race. Ferraro told CNN that she was not asked by the Clinton campaign to make the move, but decided it would be best. In a letter obtained by CNN, Ferraro wrote Clinton: "I am stepping down from your finance committee so I can speak for myself and you can continue to speak for yourself about what is at stake in this campaign. The Obama campaign is attacking me to hurt you. I won't let that happen." ⦠At an afternoon news conference in Chicago, Obama, who would become the first black president if elected, said he did not believe that the Clinton campaign was deliberately stirring racial divisions or that Ferraro's comments were racist. "I think that her comments were ridiculous. I think they were wrongheaded," he said. "The notion that it is a great advantage to me to be an African-American named Barack Obama and pursue the presidency, I think, is not a view that has been commonly shared by the general public." The Illinois senator also expressed frustration that racial issues keep arising, asserting that his primary victories across the country have proven he can draw support from all races and regions. "We keep on thinking we've dispelled this," he said. "And it keeps on getting raised once again." ⦠The controversy comes as the Democratic electorate appears more racially polarized. Obama won the support of more than 90 percent of black voters in Mississippi on Tuesday, while Clinton won about three-fourths of white voters, according to exit polls⦠Source: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/a...ro_leaves_clinton_camp_over_remarks_on_obama/ ************** Here are 5 of my latest diaries posted on that website. 1) Democratic Party â Case Study on how to lose an election. By SouthAmerica - Mon Feb 25, 2008 Now that the Democratic Party race is in complete disarray regarding the 2008 presidential election â it is not hard to see another party winning the election in November 2008. 1. The Democratic Party disenfranchise Florida and Michigan of their voting rights. 2. The Democratic Party experiment about gender vs. color of skin will result on a fight that it will go all the way to the convention floor - to be decided. 3. The resulting split of democrats along the line of gender and color of skin â is opening a big crack for 3rd party candidates to also run for president in November of 2008. 4. Ralph Nader is the first one to realize the opportunity that is available in 2008 for a 3rd party candidate, and I guess Michael Bloomberg canât be far behind before he also announces that he is running for president. Conclusion: Basically, the democrats are not smart enough to realize that at this point Al Gore is the only Democratic Party candidate who can win the election in November 2008. I donât need to wait for the results of the November 2008 election to figure that out â as a matter of fact you donât need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out â all you need it is a little of common sense. The Democratic Party is going to make history with this coming election, but it is not the kind of history that most people expect â to elect the first woman or the first black man as president of the United States. The Democratic Party is going to make history, because it had everything going on its favor and they managed to lose the election because they based their campaign on wishful thinking (gender and color of skin) instead of going with a sure bet â Al Gore. The 2008 presidential election is going to become a case study on how to lose an election that your party was supposed to win. By SouthAmerica - hu Jan 31, 2008 Even before this primary season had started the mainstream media already had framed the Democratic Party primaries as the new frontier in American politics by the possibility of nominating the first woman or the first black man to be the candidate of a major party in a presidential election - then the mainstream media went to work and they reinforced that idea and new concept over and over again - and since the primaries started we have been in the middle of a gender versus color of skin contest. In the meantime the Democratic Party has divided its constituency among the lines of gender and color of skin. And in the process they also made the other democrat candidates running for the nomination completely irrelevant including John Edwards. Source: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/31/4429/10934/683/446807 *** 3) Democratic Party - How to Lose Another Election. By SouthAmerica - Sun Feb 17, 2008 It is very obvious to me that the Democratic Party has passed the point of no return; there is a big crack dividing the Democratic Party electorate. The people already chose their sides between Hillary and Obama, and whomever survive the battle and becomes the Democratic Party nominee â that person is doomed in the November 2008 election â enough people will be pissed that his/her candidate lost and they are going to boycott the election or they are going to vote for the Republican Party nominee, or for a the 3dr party candidate. You donât need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out, but again the Democratic Party is becoming an expert organization on how to lose major elections. In the other hand John McCain and the Republican Party must be feeling very good that the Democratic Party is going to hand them the election in November of 2008. Democratic Party â How to Win in November 2008. The Democratic Party is left with only one solution available at this point that it will help them win the election in November 2008 â and that would be a compromise that would help unite the party for the November 2008 election â There is only one way for the Democratic Party to win in November â to draft the presidential ticket of Al Gore / John Edwards. Democratic Party ticket: Al Gore for president and John Edwards as his vice president. If Al Gore is not the Democratic Party nominee for the November 2008 election then donât waste your money and time with an election that is going down the toilet. Start thinking and making plans for the next election in 2012 since John McCain might be a one-term president. The choice for the Democratic Party is very simple for November 2008 â Al Gore or John McCain â one of these two will become the new president. . *** 4) Divide and Conquer the Ultimate Strategy. By SouthAmerica - Fri Feb 01, 2008 Divide and Conquer is the Ultimate Strategy. Divide and Conquer Theory Divide and conquer was a successful military strategy long before it became an algorithm design paradigm. Generals observed that it was easier to defeat one army of 50,000 men, followed by another army of 50,000 men than it was to beat a single 100,000 men army. Thus the wise general would attack so as to divide the enemy army into two forces and then mop up one after the other. *** Many people on this forum still have not grasped that the Democratic Party constituency have been divided into at least 2 groups â the women who are coming to Hillaryâs rescue, and a large number of black voters who are siding with Obama â and many of these people are moving one way or another in a very divisive way that will leave deep scars behind, and the injury that has been inflicted it will not be able to heal in time for the November 2008 presidential election. Here is why: I have been watching many political shows on television on CNN, MSNBC and so on, and I have noticed how angry people are in one side or the other regarding the issue of gender and color of skin. Hillary Clinton has lost a lot of support among the black voters, and Barack Obama also has lost support among white voters. At this point if you canât grasp what is happening on the Democratic Party primaries then you are a fool. Even John Edwards a Democratic Party candidate that had real possibilities on this race â he gave up on this race because he knew and recognized that he was just spinning wheels, and nothing else, because the mainstream media since the primaries started has framed the Democratic Party primaries in terms of gender and color of the skin. I am not trying to make a total generalization here, but what I am trying to say is that the number of people who are reacting the most regarding this split among gender and color of the skin probably are large enough to make the difference in the outcome of the November 2008 presidential election. It does not matter which person is the Democratic Party candidate in Novemeber 2008 Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama â enough people has been alienated over the fight during the primary process that a large enough number of angry democrats most likely would stay home on election day in November 2008 instead of giving his/hers vote to Hillary or Obama. It does not matter that Barack Obama is trying to project the image of a person that can unite the country when he is not being able to unite even the members of his own party. The only choice left right now for the Democratic Party There is only one remaining solution for the Democratic Party at this late stage of the game if the Democratic Party wants to win the election in November 2008. The Democratic Party leadership should recognize that the Democratic Party is going to lose the election in November 2008 with either candidate Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. The only solution it is to draft the Democratic Party ultimate weapon to win the November 2008 election â Al Gore. And here is the compromise deal that might be acceptable to all sides and that would unite the Democratic Party behind a candidate that would be appealing to everyone, and here is the plan: Al Gore would add Barack Obama on his presidential ticket as the Vice President â Al Gore /Barack Obama Democrat ticket â and Hillary Clinton would become the new Senate Majority Leader starting in January 2009. It is a win, win compromise for everyone and with Al Gore being the Democratic Party candidate in November 2008 â he is not only the best prospect available today in the United States, right now he is the ultimate candidate with all the credentials, and the experience necessary to guide the United States in this very important turning point in US history. And Al Gore is already considered a Statesman around the world, and he would be the best person to rebuild from scratch the United States reputation, and recover some of the lost Prestige and Clout that the US enjoyed not long ago. But if the Democratic Party has the common sense and foresight to draft Al Gore to be their ultimate weapon in November 2008, then I have no doubt that Al Gore will win the election and he has the potential of becoming the new FDR of the 21st century. By SouthAmerica - Thu Feb 21, 2008 Here is why the Democratic Party is going to lose the November 2008 election if they continue in the same path - and it does not matter what kind of spin the Democratic Party bosses try at this late stages of the game for their losing proposition. When the Democratic Party debates started it did not take a long time before the US mainstream media framed the race as the possibility of having the first woman, or the first black man as the nominee of a major political party for a US presidential election. We have been beaten over the head a thousand times over in the last year about that â the Democratic Party primaries has been defined by the mainstream media as a race between gender (the first woman) and color of the skin (the first black man) â and the Democratic Party bosses went along with this script. Now that the gender vs. color of skin gimmick worked so well and basically has split the Democratic Party along these lines â and the damage has been done, I will not be surprised if the fight will be taken all the way to the Democratic Party convention. The result is that whoever loses the nomination the supporters of that candidate are going to be pissed and enough democrats are going to sit this election or vote for someone else. Regarding the Democratic Partyâs nomination we have various possible outcomes from now on, and here they are: 1. Barack Obama wins the nomination and moves on to the general election. In that case he has to choose a vice president â anybody other than Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is not a realistic choice for Barack Obama to add to his ticket if he is the nominee. Why? Because if the Democratic Party goes with the ticket Obama / Clinton and this ticket manage to win in November 2008 â the presidency starting in January 2009 would turn out to be just a continuation of the Bill Clinton / Hillary Clinton show. And Barack Obama would be just that young rookie that is on the way most of the time. Now if Barack Obama chooses anyone else to be on his ticket as the VP other than Hillary Clinton, then enough Democrats (Hillary Clintonâs supporters) would stay home on Election Day, or they would vote for John McCain or for the 3rd party candidate. 2. Hillary Clinton wins the nomination and moves on to the general election. If she asks Barack Obama to be on her ticket as the VP â that would not work out because enough black Obama supporters would feel that the presidency had been stolen from them and enough people would stay home on Election Day for the ticket Clinton / Obama to lose the election in November 2008. Basically, it does not matter which candidate wins the nomination right now, the supporters of the other candidate will be angry and they would not support the other candidate in the November 2008 election. 3. Democratic Party brokered Convention and final compromise. The only chance the Democratic Party has to win the November 2008 election it is a brokered convention, and at that point they have to draft Al Gore to unite the party for the general election. Then Al Gore asks Barack Obama to be on his ticket as the VP. As the final part of the agreement and compromise: starting in January 2009 Hillary Clinton becomes the first woman leader of the senate. This strategy it is a WIN, WIN, WIN solution for everyone, including the American people â Independents, Republicans, and Democrats. Just as a reminder in a Nutshell: I want that the democrats keep in mind a simple fact: how just a few thousand people it can make a candidate lose an election - all you have to do it is look back the result of the elections in 2000 and 2004 by state. A few thousand alienated democrats can cost the election in November 2008 to the Democratic Party. Source: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/22/24656/1097/5/461715 .
That is the brightest scenario you have come up with yet. I could see Hillary agreeing to that once she feels she can't win. I cannot see Barak agreeing to that, however, and in case you haven't thought of this; all Hillary and Barak supporters would still be very pissed, and many wouldn't vote. I think the odds of this scenario are therefor, zero. Interesting idea however. You have definitely given this a lot of thought. I wouldn't argue if they did this, but then again, I don't give a damn what that Party does. SouthAmerica, I think you are a bit harsh on the possibilities of Barak or Hillary winning outright in the general election. Both are still ahead in polls, and Mac has a tendency to hurt his own cause sometimes ("100 year" comment for example). I think you are just too biased in favor of Gore to see any other possibility. Oh, also, please leave Edwards out of any possibilities. He is even more socialist than Obama, and the public knows this. His election record isn't as left, but the comments out of his mouth are more French than Yank.
i think south america owes me some royalties. the only difference is he thinks this is an organic movement for the good and i smell a rat! LOL LOL LOL wake up people.. it's all staged.
The biggest problem with the Democratic Party dates from the 1968 convention..... They have turned in to a rambling undisciplined mob of inclusion of everybody and every idea......"the left handed Lituanians" made famous by a CBS reporter.... No leaders....no ideas.....they bad mouth "lobbyist" but most of the party is made up of "interest groups" .....Unions, AARP. NOW, Black Caucus etc etc..... And led by a nutty Howard Dean..... SteveD
yeah and the republicans were hijacked by neocon trotskites who hate the constitution and embrace mushroom cloud deficits. nice going steveO

I would settle for just about any VP right now on an Al Gore presidential ticket. I can see Barack Obama agreeing with this compromise if he really understands what is at stake here. If Barack Obama somehow manages to become the nominee I am sure the Republican Party would take him apart from August until the election in November 2008. He already looks like a crybaby, and right now he is going against a woman and it is just the primaries - just wait until the Republicans get hold of him, them what Obama is going to do? What is at stake here â which there is the possibility that it is away above their heads anyway â If the Democratic Party manages to lose the election in November 2008 the Supreme Court is going to move to the radical right for a long time. Let me spell out in black and white then these people canât say that they donât understand what I am trying to say. A Supreme Court move to the radical right means that woman and minorities would be out of luck, since they would turn the clock back to the 1950âs or even further back. The Woman's Rights movement would be dead and Rove vs. Wade would be reversed in no time. By the time the new Supreme Court is done woman's rights - woman in the United States would be lucky if they still have the right to vote. Regarding the minorities they would lose any rights that they gained in the last 50 years, and it would mean a return to the back of the bus to the black population. This is what the Democratic Party is going to get if they lose the election in November 2008 â just because the Democratic Party wanted to make a political experiment. I am being blunt here, since the Supreme Court issue is so important and it doesnât leave any room for beating around the bush. I know that some people might be offended by what I am saying here, but that is the reality in this case and someone has to say it. *** Jayford: Interesting idea however. You have definitely given this a lot of thought. I wouldn't argue if they did this, but then again, I don't give a damn what that Party does. *** SouthAmerica: I assume that you are a Republican then. *** Jayford: SouthAmerica, I think you are a bit harsh on the possibilities of Barak or Hillary winning outright in the general election. Both are still ahead in polls, and Mac has a tendency to hurt his own cause sometimes ("100 year" comment for example). *** SouthAmerica: I have been watching a number of television programs and in the last 6 months the mainstream media has helped frame and solidify the split of the Democratic Party among the lines of gender and color of the skin â only an idiot would not have grasped that by now. I have been reading a lot of the postings on the Daily Kos and some other political websites, and I can see very clearly how the Democratic Party is split along the line of gender and color of the skin â and they have created very deep scars by now. The groups are very militant and they want to kick each otherâs ass, as if we already were in the general elections season. They are taking each other apart. No way in hell the two groups are going to unite by the November 2008 election if Hillary or Obama are the nominees. It does not matter if they make some compromise by nest week and let Hillary or Obama move on to the next level â either Democratic Party candidate is damaged goods at this point and if either one is the nominee for the general election â there are so many democrats that would be alienated by this gender and color of skin war that would be enough people to help put the Republican Party nominee over the top in November 2008. And the Republican Party is going to use all their power during the general fall election to remind the democrats of their parties gender versus color of skin split. The Republicans are going to make the scar deeper and deeper and by November 2008 the Democratic Party would look like a Pathetic joke. Now, the Democratic Party get some common sense and they start realizing that if they stay on the same path they are going down like the Titanic in November 2008. Solution: The Democratic Party brings its ultimate weapon â Al Gore â he is drafted and becomes the Democratic Party nominee, and he is able to united the Democratic Party and also win the November 2008 election with a strong and powerful mandate. If Barack Obama spend 8 years as Al Goreâs vice president that would be the best training he could get, and then he runs for president in another 8 years â he still very young and he has plenty of time to reach the top job. Being a vice president under Al Gore would prepare Obama for the future, since I believe that Al Gore has the potential to be one of the best presidents in US history â he has the potential of becoming the new FDR of the 21st Century. *** Jayford: I think you are just too biased in favor of Gore to see any other possibility. Oh, also, please leave Edwards out of any possibilities. He is even more socialist than Obama, and the public knows this. His election record isn't as left, but the comments out of his mouth are more French than Yank. *** SouthAmerica: I did pick Al Gore to be the new US president about 2 years ago even before I started this thread on this forum, and long before all the candidates of both parties started announcing that they were running for president. I have not changed my mind in the last 2 years, and I had made my mind regarding Al Gore long before Al Goreâs slide show became a hit. And since then he became an even more outstanding candidate â now he is the ultimate candidate. If Al Gore had entered the Democratic primaries I have no doubt that by Super Tuesday he would have wrapped up the Democratic Party nomination. *** SteveD: And led by a nutty Howard Dean..... *** SouthAmerica: The Democratic Party should fire Howard Dean ASAP, and they should get a better Party general manager. The sooner he is gone the better for the Democratic Party. .
SA, just a little FYI... the whole global warming con has lost its steam. granted the dumbest still get excited over it.. but the real scientific community has come to their senses. gore is a joke... but... this is all staged anyways... so enjoy your WWF show.
SA, No, I am not Republican. Was for about 20 years. Unfortunately, the party completely abandoned its small Gov, small taxes, small spending (the later is a relative statement) platform. They just piss me off now. Have always hated Dems due to the "raise taxes as much as the people will bear, then waste it on inefficient government programs" platform. I'm sure Ratboy will chime in here about how much the Repubs waste on war. I don't like that either. I am an Indy now, and just vote for the person. I don't like Mac so much either, but find him preferable to the others running for office, and with a congress which will be even more Dem next year, he can't do all that much damage (compared to the other two). The reason why I don't believe Obama would play 2nd fiddle to Gore is he thinks he can win now! The guy is just too driven (power hungry maybe?) to be VP if he thinks he should be Prez. Read an interesting article via RealClearPolitics the other day that said no way would Obama or Hillary take the VP slot this time around. Obama would rather run for Illinois Governor in 2010, which most believe he would win with ease. This would give him needed executive experience for a run in 2016. He would rather be the executive calling the shots, than a powerless VP. Clinton would either do the same in NY, or take a senior Senate position and sit tight. Both Illinois and NY have weak Governors now. Obama or Hillary will be a governor in two years (maybe both). Jay
