. February 1, 2008 SouthAmerica: Reply to Nutmeq The only way Hillary Clinton can win in November 2008 it is if she add Bill Clinton to her ticket as the vice president. A Clinton / Clinton ticket in November 2008 might do the trick, because a lot of people would vote for such a ticket because of Bill Clinton. But a Clinton / Clinton ticket would be challenged in the courts. .
. February 15, 2008 SouthAmerica: As you can see I am not the only one who has not giving up on Al Gore for him to be the Democratic Party nominee for the November 2008 presidential election. It is becoming obvious to everyone that the Democratic Party has been split among race and gender lines and that either candidate Hillary or Obama will not be able to beat the Republican candidate in November 2008. There is only one option left for the Democratic Party â to draft Al Gore to be the Democratic Party candidate â and I am sure Al Gore would win that election with a mandate. I hope that finally, common sense will set in at the Democratic Convention and the Democratic Party will nominate Al Gore as their candidate. Hope is the last one to die. Al Gore supporters should not give up. ****** The Huffington Post âCalling for Al Goreâ By: Michael Russnow February 15, 2008 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-russnow/maybe-its-time-for-an-ol_b_86783.html#postComment .
. February 17, 2008 SouthAmerica: It is very obvious to me that the Democratic Party has passed the point of no return; there is a big crack dividing the Democratic Party electorate. Here is why: Sun Feb 17, 2008 Democratic Party - How to Lose Another Election. By: SouthAmerica http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/17/2587/45540/243/458418 .
LOL, nice job SA, you got 120 responses and each and every one of them ridicules you and laughs at your diary, and rightly so. The democrats will not be divided after the convention, they will rally around the nominee, Obama or Clinton. Moreover a Clinton/Obama ticket will resolve the matter and unite the party much faster than your crazy idea about Gore. The real reason the dems will likely lose is not a crack dividing the party but the fact that liberal democratic senators tend to be unelectable. Especially if their last name is Clinton of if they are black with muslim background and muslim middle name (Hussein) reminding of one arch-enemy and last name (Obama) reminding of another one. Having said that they do have a fair shot against McCain, the republicans could not have come up with a worse candidate either. He clearly represents a third Bush term and unpopular war, the conservative base hates him and may not turn out and the republicans will not be able to capitalize on their major issue - illegal immigration. It was obvious to you that Brazil was going to win the world cup, it was obvious to you that Al Gore would run and become the nominee. What's obvious to you tends to have absolutely nothing in common with what actually happens.
. February 18, 2008 SouthAmerica: Reply to DDDDoooooo There are many replies that agree with me on that diary. By the way, it is up to 142 replies and almost 250 people voted on the poll. As soon as I posted that diary, a bunch of Obama supporters voted no in that poll. It did not look good for the ticket Gore/Edwards. But today when I went back to check what was going on in that diary I was surprised to see how many people voted yes - and they changed the result of the poll around. You are counting victory a bit too soon. Millions of people still have not given up on the idea that Al Gore will be the nominee for the November 2008 election. Anything can happen from now to the August Democratic Party Convention. It is not over until the fat lady sings. .
ROFLMAO! SA, that amazing "journalist" whose writings amount to absolutely nothing on a regular basis. You're a real "cooler" for your lefty moonbat audience. You realize that, don't you?
Victory? I'd love to vote for Gore but it's just not going to happen. This is not Brazil, the delegates will not nominate Al Gore when they are sent by the voters to support Obama or Clinton. Get real.
. February 18, 2008 SouthAmerica: Reply to DoDoDoDoDo I know this is not Brazil â in Brazil we have real democracy with 15 major parties - compare that with the United States where we have only the two wings of the same bird. You call this democracy? How many states still have not had their primaries? And what kind of choice is left for millions of Americans who had not the chance to vote on primaries up to this point? To be really politically correct the United States needs to come up with another description for its political system instead of democracy. What kind of democratic system makes it almost impossible for most people to run for office? Just ask Ralph Nader how the entire system is loaded and designed to prevent people to get their names on the ballots of major national elections. This democracy is so pathetic that two states get disqualified just because they moved their primaries up to have a choice of more candidates. The gatekeepers of this wherever system that we have in the United States took away the right to vote in the primaries from people in Florida, and in another state. (basically, an election system not much different than in Fidel Castroâs Cuba, or in Saddam Husseinâs Iraq â if you want to know how corrupt the election system has been in the US for many years - all you have to do is ask Al Gore.) ******** Reply to nutmeg No Obama canât pick Al Gore for VP. If Al Gore had been in the presidential race â he would have wrapped up the nomination by now. Anyway, millions of Al Gore supporters are just waiting for him to jump into the presidential race. And I am glad that I am not the only one who still hoping that Al Gore will be the nominee of the Democratic Party for the November 2008 election. All the Al Gore supporters should be patient and wait for the right time, eventually common sense it will prevail; and Al Gore will win the race in November 2008 with a solid mandate. Al Gore already has the practical experience, because he was part of the team of the Clinton administration - that administration created over 22 million jobs in the US economy during their 8-year term. Al Gore understands better than anyone else how the global economy works today. The latest issue of the magazine "Fast Company" lists the 50 companies that are in the leading edge of innovation - and Al Gore's company Current TV was among these state-of-the-art innovative companies. Al Gore understands how the world of tomorrow works. .
. March 7, 2008 SouthAmerica: Late last night I posted a lot of information about Al Gore on the Charlie Rose Show Forum. I just found 2 more articles asking Al Gore to rescue the Democratic Party and become the nominee. As you can see on the enclosed articles there are other people who also think that Al Gore should be the Democratic Party nominee. I hope the voters keep the game tied all the way to the convention â to give a chance for Al Gore to come out of the convention as the Democratic Party nominee. All the Al Gore supporters should keep the pressure on the Democratic Party to draft Al Gore at the convention. It is never too late, and keep in mind: Hope is the last one to die. 1) We are not settling for anything less than Al Gore in November 2008.
