  5. SA keeps harping on the Al Gore thing when it is quite obvious the guy isn't running. If he was, he'd be raising funds. He has lots of his own cash from Google stock, but I doubt he'd burn it. And by the way, he didn't make that documentary, he acted in it. No big cash horde there.

Also, I've seen via TV, and read several places where people that know him well say there is no way he'd run against the Clintons. He understands first hand how nasty they can be.

As for a Republican in the Oval Office again, I agree. A majority of Americans want change, especially after this nutty war, but the fact remains that the Dems are once again going to nominate an unelectable candidate. Hillary? Fully half the population despises her. Obama? Not enough experience, but he'll be a force down the road. Edwards? Full on socialist. WAY too far left.

IF the Repubs nominate Rudy, he runs away with it. Regardless of some of his personal issues, America generally loves the guy. He would take NY and maybe even Cal. Repubs rarely can do that.

McCain could lose to anyone due to his war views, but I believe this will prevent him from landing the nomination.

Romney? Hasn't even started his massively planned advertising to introduce himself to the nation. He is impressive as hell, super successful, speaks really well, and "looks" presidential. The one anchor he drags is his religion. Yanks tend to fear Mormons. For those of you who don't know much about the guy, he was a cofounder of Bain Capital, one of the largest hedge funds/ private equity firms in the country. He has access to an endless stream of cash through his numerous Wall St connections.

Therefore, no Gore, and Repubs win again unless the war turns and McCain slides into the nomination. Ironic.

spare us the passion crap, tantrums happen when people are irrational.

Gore's "environmental vice presidency" was a disaster for everybody except environmental attorneys. He set things up so any attorney could take any environmental claim into court and the taxpayers would have to pay the attorney's fees, a win-win for every environut who wanted people absolutely out of the forests and attorneys. The upshot was that no fire fighting roads could be built, nobody could log without interference, nobody was clearing the brush or doing controlled burns, and guess what? We managed to burn our forests all over California and the rest of the west!! Didn't that pollute the atmosphere, didn't that kill billions of animals that we are supposed to be so concerned about??

It hardly gets more irrational than that, presenting Gore as a tantrum throwing idiot is the correct thing to do, I'll applaud any media outlet that does so.

    Jayford,

Very much my thoughts also. I believe the public is going to be sick and tired of the Dems come election time. Hell, the approval rating for congress has DROPPED since the Nov elections when they took over....not even 6 months in power!! Their only appeal is to the lunatic fringe, which happens to be their base.
