Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008.

  1. I was waiting for this.

fhl was deliberately misleading by confusing tax (as in revenue tariff) with barrier (as in protective tariff).

The depression was caused by barrier, not tax. You're just too dumb to know the difference.

For other uses of this word, see tariff (disambiguation).

A tariff is a tax on foreign goods upon importation. When a ship arrives in port a customs officer inspects the contents and charges a tax according to the tariff formula. Since the goods cannot be landed until the tax is paid it is the easiest tax to collect, and the cost of collection is small. Smugglers of course seek to evade the tariff.

Tax is a tax is a tax is a tax.
Anybody confusing the issue is you thinking there is a fundamental difference between tax and tariff.

SouthAmerica: A prediction by someone such as Senator James Inhofe it is just an attempt by the radical right to discredit the possibility that "Al Gore" might run for president in 2008.

Senator James Inhofe is a real right wing conservative who believe “global warming” is not happening, but in the other hand - he still believe that the earth is the center of the universe.

I am 100 percent sure that “Al Gore” is already running for president in 2008 – and he will make it official some time in the near future. He will do it at the right time – he is in no rush and also under no pressure to do it right now.

When he enters the race the other players will have many scars from this race and they will be tired and probably have run out of ideas and momentum at that point.

From that point on “Al Gore” will be the front runner and no one will be able to catch him – even the Republican candidate.

He will be the next president of the United States in November of 2008.

    The Raw Story
“Sen. Inhofe says Gore will 'absolutely' run for president”

One day after former Vice President Al Gore issued a "planetary emergency" warning to a Senate panel on global warming, Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) predicted that climate change critics were "gonna win this one."

"When [Gore] started talking about 'This is worse than World War II' and all these extreme things, I think his credibility is going down," Inhofe said today on Fox & Friends. "I see the scientists changing ... We're gonna win this one."

…The Republican senator also said he thinks that Gore will "absolutely" run for president in 2008.

"Gore believes that global warming is his ticket to the White House," Inhofe said, "although he's getting $200,000 a hit for his speeches."

  7. Yes, it's pretty doubtful that the "ABB" anybody but bush candidates will have much effect in 08.

Gore insisted that the link is beyond dispute and is the source of broad agreement in the scientific community.

    A lie.
