Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008.

Discussion in 'Politics' started by SouthAmerica, Aug 13, 2006.

1. The last poll I saw had Gore right at the bottom with Kerry.
I think they both had about 6% of the potential vote.

Obama first, Hillary 2nd. Even Edwards was at the bottom.

The Dems don't have a chance with either Hillary or Obama Osama bin Laden...:D

2. Al Gore is a former loser. So is Kerry. That is why they are on the
bottom of the poll. Who wants to vote AGAIN for a loser?

US still has clout, prestige and influence in the world. Just wait and
see what happens in Iran. No one wants to back Iran in the Gulf
states. Guess why not? Cause everyone knows they suck, they
are crazy and they are dangerous to everyone in the Middle East.

George is going to clean this up. Like usual, it is the Republicans
that have to do the dirty work...

3. Yep, I am going to turn them down when they offer a bet like that.

Gambling is not my bag, but the gambling addicts here at ET, or those so ego driven that they need to prove something with childish challenges like "I'll bet my opinion is right and yours is wrong" seem to need to go to a GA meeting...or go to Vegas and just blow out...

4. See Cutten, this is precisely the sort of thing that differentiates a truly professional troll- one who is earnestly dedicated to his craft, from all the rest of those amateurs who wish to be trolls.

You see, LoZZZer is fully aware of the reason why no real trader would ever refuse 12-1 odds on a coin flip, and he does fully comprehend the fact that he is spouting illogical rubbish. But remember, the master troll is never afraid to look like an ignorant fool in front of others. In fact, he prides himself on doing so, for if pretending to think like a complete moron is the sacrifice he must make in return for a glimpse of hope that he'll succeed in his mission to piss you off, then by God, he'll gladly accept said sacrifice with honor, for the good of the art of professional trollsmanship.

That's some damn fine work, LoZZZer. You're one hell of a troll, I'll give you that. However, before you now is a great challenge: Will you now be able to successfully piss Cutten off, despite the fact that I've just explained to him exactly what you're trying to do? Now that would be a remarkable display of your trollsmanship skills. Even you may not be up to a task this formidable, but I'll now stand aside and watch to see if you can somehow pull it off. Good luck!

5. Uhhh, tell me exactly where you place your stop loss on a individual bet once it is placed, or where you take partial profits once in the position.

Amazing how people at ET jones on gambling, as if trading M-F is not enough.

I often wonder why these excellent "gamblers" are not parked in Vegas or Atlantic City 24/7 just raking in the dough...

Oh, and you would have no suspicions if someone came out of the blue and gave you 12 to 1 odds on a coin flip...

p.s. Your continued stalking me with your vivid imaginations is of course noted...

6. Check my edit, and keep your eye on the prize. You can't do me anymore- you know that by now. It's Cutten you're after here. Good Luck!

7. I really don't care what your edit was, mix nox.

The funny thing RM, is I was never capable of "doing you" you only did it to yourself...if you every figure this out, you won't need to stalk me any more.

However, I do give you credit for having quite a vivid imagination...

Oh, and I am not "after" cutten either...

SouthAmerica: I don’t know what Al Gore is waiting for to become a democratic candidate for the presidential election of 2008.

“Calling Al Gore”
TPMCafe, NY

John McCain is a serious man. His performance on NBC’s Meet the Press this Sunday was brilliant. When Tim Russert confronted him with the Democrats best shot, a devastating ad by MoveOn that branded McCain with Iraq, McCain did a curious thing, he took the biggest issue of the election and assumed responsibility for it’s future. He attacked Bush’s handling of the war, listing the mistakes made from the time of the looting, and lambasted the arrogance and rhetoric used by Rumsfeld in promoting it.

…Only Al Gore can match the prestige of John McCain. To begin with, Al was right about Iraq from the start. While the future of Iraq is the issue, it’s comforting to have a leader with proven judgment. What’s more, Al Gore can credibly employ the use of diplomacy and international institutions to legitimize the rebuilding of Iraq and help create the stability necessary for a US withdrawal. Certainly, he can take some credit for how Bosnia and Kosovo have turned out. (How many men did we lose? How many terrorists were produced?) He can even claim some credit for catching and convicting the terrorists of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center while he was the VP. I think Al can associate himself with most of the successes of the Clinton presidency; Hillary in comparison will be given little credit and much of the blame for the Clinton failures (health care, scandal). Gore has the gravitas to restore the credibility of US foreign policy while limiting US involvement in Iraq.

Furthermore, Gore was right about global warming so many years ago, he’s ahead of the curve with technology, a huge aspect of our economic future, and he’s in perfect position to take energy policy in a new direction. For all his talk about a “lock box”, Gore was right about the surplus and the Bush tax cuts. He has credibility when he talks of fiscal discipline and balancing the budget.

He’s even proven that he’s willing to put the good of the country before his own personal gain. (It goes unspoken that he won the election in 00). He is a deeper and more experienced politician than any of the Democratic front-runners. Al Gore’s judgment and experience make him the most electable Democrat in the field and if today’s performance on Meet the Press was any indication, McCain intends to make it a very tight race.

Al Gore will be in the treasure valley tomorrow discussing global warming and his film.

Ten thousand seats are sold out. It was originally supposed to take place in a much smaller venue with just 700 seats - but changed to taco bell arena when the demand to see gore was too big to ignore.

Gore starred in the documentary film, An Inconvenient Truth.

It deals with global warming and the human contribution to climate change. People of all ages are expected to attend the event….

SouthAmerica: Last night in one of the news programs they were analyzing the latest data available regarding the candidates of the Democratic Party who are running for president in 2008.

Hillary was away ahead of the pack right now, then Obama, and so on…. – They did show Al Gore getting only 10 percent of the votes.

But the analyst made an important observation: he said that Al Gore has only 10 percent because he has not announced his candidacy as yet, and a lot of people are not sure if he is running, but if he did announce that he is running in 2008 then he would move very quickly to the top of the list of democratic candidates.

Al Gore is the best chance the democrats have if they want to win the presidential race in 2008.

In the 2008 horse race my money is on “Al Gore.”
