I don't know what you trade, but just for the fun of it, I created a thread I titled "Compare and Contrast with..." where I compared my views with the forecasts of individuals I respected, usually via the videos they posted on YouTube either every day or every week. Here is a list of most of these folks, in case you might be interested in looking into them...

    Peter Reznicek - Shadow Trader
AJ Monte - Weekly Market Report
Stephen Whiteside - Stock Market Timing
Cristian Moreno - The Daily Call
Raman Gill - Trading with Venus
    Brad Gilbert - Traders4Traders
    Christopher Lewis - FXEmpire
    Jarratt Davis - ?

Some look at stocks and/or the major indexes, others are strictly Forex, and a couple even look at commodities every now and then.

Reading stuff did me virtually no good. The best thing I ever did was visit the trade rooms of professionals when they were offering a one- or two-week free trial, and watch them trade live. (I don't know if anyone respectable is doing that anymore.) Generally speaking, I would say this. If you don't know what you are looking for BEFORE you open your charts, there is probably something missing in your approach. Accordingly, I would define trading is primarily a matter of WAITING. You do NOTHING until you see the setup(s) you've identified as profitable, and only then do you go into action.

Because the writers themselves also don't know how to trade.
But they know how to write.

or they knew how to trade.
but did not disclose the secret recipe.

If you have read various trading books, notice that most
writers don't disclose when precisely to enter the trade.

  6. You literally can't trust anyone in this, trading, business. I learned this early on when I first attended my very first trading seminar held at a hotel after seeing an ad in the newspaper around 2003/2004. They are nothing more but basic vulture salesmen out to enrich themselves.

People, humans, can be so full of sh't, vanity, ego, insecurity and greed.
Everyone wants to be perceived as this great, divine, Holy, expert, genius...while everyone else's perspective is so wrong, and evil and false.
Similar to discussing politics, sides, social issues, etc etc....both sides feel they are completely pure, while the other is so wrong and guilty. They view themselves though a biased lens.

If you want to be successful as a prospective, new, trader (and human being)....you truly have to be your own independent, intelligent, insightful, solo adventurer. And not give in to walk towards someone else's directional, Devil, misleading, misguided, pathway.

ET, for example, or any trading forum, platform or social media site...I would guesstimate 99.4% of the people are not qualified to give their advice and opinions. It's completely utterless and meaningless in the real world, maybe useful if you want to write a sleepy, theoretical, trading textbook that makes you look like a perceived expert by the public's eyes.

I did not like any of them. However, they illustrated the mindset of these so-called professionals. Mostly, their trading consisted of waiting. And they knew in advance exactly what they were waiting for. But, this was...like...ten to twelve years ago, and I don't think these individuals do this anymore. There was this one guy who posted his videos on YouTube, but unfortunately, for the life of me, I can't remember his name. The other two folks I do remember are Anne-Marie Baiynd of The Trading Book and Scott Barkley of ProAct Traders. But again, I don't think they open their trade rooms anymore.

UPDATE: I just checked, and ProActTraders.com has a "Click Here for a Zero-Cost 10 Day Access Pass to our New York Training Sessions and our Proprietary Charting" banner. (However, I don't know if it's actual live trading that constitutes their "Training Sessions.")

  10. You will never be successful as a trader, if you seek riches and the answer and Holy Grail in the sea of books, courses, nonsense and bs and social media videos, and dime-a-dozen random advices and quotes and people out there.

You truly have to discover your own mind, self, and the big, bad, world out there. And the riches that's there for the taking,
You have to be semi-intelligent and observant, and question everything, and digest it, and perceive it, and understand it.

I don't know your trading back story, but the bests traders in the world found their groove after a decade of stumbling getting nowhere.
You won't be this champion trader overnight.

Don't buy anything. You don't need to. -- Whatever you buy....I can basically guarantee you 99.5% it's bs and useless in the real world.
Don't get conned by sellers just trying to enrich themselves at your dumb, naive, gullible, amateur expense.

If you can master the market, and yourself, ....you will make a lot of money. More than your current dreams and fantasies you have right now. Leverage can be your ally.

I can literally show you, guide you, take you under my wing....on how to make a million per year or more.
    But I won't.
The real world does not work like that.
You have to truly find your own path, at your own pace, all in due time. I certainly paid my dues.
