2. i think he gets out of prison next year.

Wade Cook's sentence of 88 months is well below the 121 months requested by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Laura Cook's sentence is higher than the 15 months the prosecutors sought.
Zilly said his sentencing of Wade Cook was influenced by presentencing reports that in 1990, Cook was indicted in Arizona on 18 charges of fraudulently selling unregistered securities and conducting illegal enterprises.
He said he also found significant that the Federal Trade Commission had consolidated actions in 14 states against Wade Cook for improperly taking money from investors and had imposed penalties of about $2.7 million

4. The guru business is cyclical.

Back when indicators were the cool, "in thing" for retail traders.......

Woodie was really popular.

Now indicators are uncool and "price action" is the cool thing for retail traders........

and Woodie has faded away and Al Brooks has taken over as the current most popular guru.

It probably doesn't matter what way you trade.....

analyze what happened in the past on price

or analyze what happened in the past on cci

and use it to try and predict the future

everyone is playing the same game with the same data

nothing new under the sun

5. realistically...... 99% of vendors probably fall into 1 of 2 catagories............

1.) failed traders (this is most of them I'm sure)

or

2.) marginally profitable traders that get too stressed out to trade a large enough size to generate an income from trading, so are stuck at 1-lot and forced to sell stuff

Why else would someone want to spend all day droning into a chatroom mic?

"bulls want this, bears want that, blah blah blah..........."

after a couple of weeks that has to get pretty boring

but Al is probably trying to stay busy in retirement, thats all

otherwise he'd be vegging out watching Price Is Right all day...

6. i always wondered how its possible to talk all day, write a sentence or two about how you view each ES bar, and maunually trade options stocks and futures.

is that really possible? im not sure.

8. Remember motivational speaker James Ray?

guru seminar leader who talked about "The Secret"

was sued because customers at his retreats had died in his sweat lodge

exposed as a fraud.....

saw a documentary about him where 10 prior customers of his were interviewed about what happened at the sweat lodge

only a couple of them reported they were giving up on gurus after this

the others were going to continue following him, or were going to switch over to another guru

so even if you can provide 100% proof that the guru is a fraud most people will continue to follow the guru anyway

pretty amazing.
