I have no idea or use for how Brooks trade or not, or anyone else for that matter. But recognize others feel differently. So be it. Carry on with pseudo trades, as you say some may benefit. As for ignoring your "calls", I do that with anyone here. Even those I've learned to respect (schizo being one). What kind a trader follows someone else? Anyway I trade on 1 and 5 minute.
Learn??? LOL Listen, wasn't it you who brought this unto yourself by trying to measure your dick against Al Brooks? You need to grow a dick, seriously. The way you presented yourself as just another sim trader is pretty laughable. I'll let you have the last word, but keep it short.
It clearly dipped below 4510, so you are in effect holding a short position, and I'm pretty damn sure your short will get taken out by the time market opens, at which time it will likely take another nosedive again to shake out weak hands like you. But since you have no skin in the game, it doesn't matter one way or the other, right? What you are doing is a great disservice to real traders. I strongly urge you to stop.
Al brooks is rich simply because as every trader certified and successful say price <action> is king, should be encouraging and obvious. Unfortunately still have a long way, but i love his books
Yes my called positioning makes me short right now from 4510 with reversal still at 4540. Sure that could be hit and try to come back to shake me out, to reverse again, but I assure you I am the one shaking down the market and not the other way around. (shaking Brooks down too) I have two small losses out of the six-losses-out-of-ten-trades that I expect. I am just waiting for those treasured moves which makes up for the losses, as all trend following systems eventually do. I wouldn't call mine a trend following system though but rather an always-in (I don't look for "set ups") direction-following method which is almost the same thing. Markets are said to trend 30% of the time and that's what my own statistics seem to bear out. Since he has no reputational skin in his calls, it doesn't matter what Brooks says, right?
You have no shame, bro. And none of what you say above is true. You are NOT short right now from 4510. You actually got stopped out at 4527 and should be long. Obviously, you can't remember what you wrote. This wouldn't happen if you were trading live. This is what you previously wrote (https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/al-brooks-net-worth.376923/page-52#post-5891110): "Filled at 4515 short, and then reversed at 4427 long (later revised to 4527)." "Reverse long to short at 4510." "If filled reverse to long at 4540." Now look at the chart below. While you're looking at the chart, keep in mind what I wrote last night. If you forgot, allow me to refresh your memory: It clearly dipped below 4510, so you are in effect holding a short position, and I'm pretty damn sure your short will get taken out by the time market opens, at which time it will likely take another nosedive again to shake out weak hands like you. And that's what happened. Excuses, excuses. You're simply a lousy trader. Sorry if I hurt your ego. Do I even need to respond?
Your summary is correct (except I revised the summary of my calls not the actual call). If your summary is correct then I have had two small losses and am currently reputationally short at 4510 with a reversal (to go long at 4540) already called out. Where is the disagreement with the facts? None. Those are the facts. With my reputation on the line I have more than Brooks has ever had on the line, right?
I entered this thread admitting Brooks annoyed me after studying his YouYube presentations quite a bit. Later I suggested it's because Brooks flexes too much and doesn't deliver hardly anything in his promotional materials, which are what all those YouTubed are, it turns out, and not the rich content they are promoted to be. So basically it has been Brooks, wagging his dick at all of us, including me and my time, so I've just called him out as best I can. Apparently there is someone here who has studied Brooks enough to represent Brooks style and method for us. He's making calls, so I'm making calls. What we know is Brooks ain't making no calls (or showing no records ) at least not here. I'm not a doctor like Brooks. If anything I'm standing up for all the carpentry oriented tradesmen with a generalized skill set. It's us against the big dick doctors who get a free pass in the world of trading.
I want to set some facts straight. First, I ain't no Brooks' acolyte and I wasn't in any way defending Brooks. All I was asking was that you trade properly, as if you were trading live. But obviously that fell on deaf ears. As far as your reputation is concerned, it will remain intact, not because you're better than Brooks, but nobody will pay any attention to you. In fact, I believe you've lost what little credibility you had. Anyway, good luck going forward. This will be my last reply to you.
