Al Brooks' video course is 100% legitimate price action education. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar or a fucking moron. You're a smart guy, @Darc. Don't let yourself be seduced by the dark side of the farce by the ET Illiterati who 1) haven't studied the video course, 2) haven't read even one of his books cover to cover, much less studied and tested his ideas for themselves and 3) are complete fucking morons and functionally illiterate toads when it comes to consuming and understanding quality trading education content. I wouldn't recommend any other trading education vendor at this time other than Al Brooks for intraday trading education. I recommend it without reservation. I have as much esteem for the content of Brooks's video course for intraday trading as I have for the likes of Darvas, Loeb, O'Neil, and Minervini for swing trading content. If you really want to know, just buy his course. It's only $399 and he takes Paypal, which means you can pay it off over six months at 0% interest. Risk only 8 ES points to learn how to make as many as ES points profit as you wish over the rest of your lifetime. How's that for and R/R ratio?
Thanks for that RF. I've got a lot of respect for your Wisdom and Posts. While Day Trading or Scalping isn't my thing, any ideas for strengthening any System is invaluable. While success probably requires specialising, Price Action is something even a Position or Swing Trader needs to master. Thanks.
I have certainly incorporated concepts from Brooks course into my swing trading, including that Tesla short I won't shut up about.
Since you had your "Ultimate" topic closed (and mentioned Simons and Brooks in the same sentence) I'm adding over here Al Brooks is noooot Jim Simons. Not even close. Simons has a proven verifiable track record, Brooks does not.
If you stuck Animal Al Brooks and Jim Simons in a room with a Laptop and Trading account, I'm guessing Al would kick Jim's butt. I started reading one of Al Brooks's books and couldn't put it down, absolutely enthralling. Had to remind myself I'm not a Day Trader.
Huh? Jim Simons isn't a Trader, he's a Mathematician who project Managed a group of other Mathematicians and programmers to find patterns and anomalies. Without his Blackbox I'm guessing Jim would be lost.
I have a client who transitioned to live about five months ago. He has been reporting very impressive results with a 70% W/L rate. I hope I didn't jinx him.
