How is everyone playing the airline merger rumors? It looks like industry wide consolidation will happen at some point. I think the best deal would be btwn United and Continental...what are some thoughts?
I don't know, but I do know only an insane fund or other airline would assume American Airline's balance sheet. It's beyond terrible. 20 billion in long term debt.
a friend of mine called CALwhen it was trading under 20 1 and half years ago and told my other buddies to buy in i think collective stake was around 50K shars under 20 bucks if the merger goes thru see ya all at 60. but legal affair would be a biatch
