Airbnb settles with Miami Beach landlord in short-term rental dispute Airbnb has settled a lawsuit with one of the nation’s largest residential property landlords, Aimco, just before trial was set to begin in a Miami court. Denver-based Aimco sued Airbnb in February 2017 for allegedly permitting short-term rental listings at its three Miami Beach locations on its website even though Aimco lease contracts prohibit the practice. Aimco wanted the court to force Airbnb to remove the listings and cough up punitive damages for associated costs. (Miami Herald)
