Airbnb pleased as Japan opens doors to home-sharing
We knew it was coming, but Japan hasofficially green-lightednew legislation that legitimizes home-sharing startups such as Airbnb. The well-funded and profitable San Francisco startup that has emerged as the poster child for the home-sharing industry has already been operating in Japan for a while now but under questionable legal status.(Venture Beat)

  2. All my experiences with airbnb have been positive. I'm actually going to try it in Japan this week.

I have tried them once. the place had 17 5 star reviews.

it was so bad my wife and I left and went to a real hotel.

apparently because the host reviews the guests as well as vice versa the reviewers are afraid to give negative reviews.

  4. Yeah you have to pay attention to the small details. Some of the bookings are scams or misrepresented.
