That user had over 50 posts and every single one of them were right on point with the subject matter being discussed. Does this post and the others after it in that thread by the same user sound like a bot to you? https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...market-making-loss.308799/page-3#post-4444999
Baron, that user is clearly very intelligent. That user was being a pain in the arse in at least one thread. What happened beyond the public reaction we don't know. That user subsequently liked every single post, regardless of content. You tell me to be nice, let me show you how nice I can be. No damage, other than it renders your whole system of likes meaningless. Now I really don't care, from the Straight Line times I noticed likes were not about content, they were more about who you were. If however you want likes to mean something, you might want to think about someone saying look at how nice I'm being, I like everything, and other juvenile stuff.
The guy was a member for all of 3 days, and posted normally for the first two days. Upon receiving notification about the likes and weird PMs, he was banned minutes afterwards and the likes he gave out have been removed. I'm not sure what else we could have done in this case.
I just put a like on Baron's latest response. Not because his reply resonated with me. Not because he abled me to make more profit in the market with his response...But because I like his California dude avatar pic. See? Likes don't really mean much in the grand scheme of things. Likes are just that. Likes. They do not really denote to others the quality of a person's input or feedback to the community. It is just a number. Oi.
Baron has just deleted 5% of my likes! It was amusing that all my profound posts giving out business's were ignored but rat2 liked all my inane conversation.
