Dont underestimate the consumer power of the BRICs. They are really hungry for TVs, fridges, cars etc and are now getting the money to buy what they want. Congress Republicans are threatening tarrifs. Really 1930s style. But they are right China should gradually let the yuan find its own market level. The politicians will suddenly realize that US business is not as cometitive as it should be. A bit like the over weight teens imho. Give them a few more years - they aren't the sharpest.
the terrorist attacks of 2001 was reaction to US troops stationed in the middle east after the kuwait wars. and the only reason the US has interest in the middle east is the oil. there is no reason to have that many us troops in middle east and s. korea...the military budget of those bases are like there is a major war going on. there is like half a million US soldiers in foreign soil at one time?
