Is there any way to avoid this? Maybe I'm not seeing something, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, n00b.
there is always a point where the trend reverses. AHG follows the trend and so the last entry on the trend is usually a loss depending on how tight you are trailing your stop. If following AHG the profits gained on the earlier trades in the trend will more that offset the last loser.
If you drew a trendline from the last major pivot high (off the chart that you posted here) to the high pivot at 9:50, you'd find that the TL was quite a bit above where you shorted. One of the key aspects of AHG is taking trades in the direction of the trend ON OR NEAR THE TL (using a confirmation trigger, like the 3br). Just taking breakouts (like you appeared to do here) leaves you susceptible to reversals. Hope that helps.
Last year proved to me and many veteran traders that professional discipline in the occupation of day-trading has its rewards accordingly to the disposition of ones' integrity and professionalism. Having integrity speaks by itself of decency, wholeness, goodness, and honesty to and with oneself thus mirroring clean professionalism. It continues to amaze me why the educated, middle-class America via media spills continue to bash and demoralize the true profession of day-trading as some fling by night into which one uneducated and unexpectedly gambles for quick game and gain. No matter what social gathering i find myself, i know from experiences to keep my mouth shut about my occupation for shame relating me to some uneducated porno "pepping tom" day-trader. Why does society look upon the profession of day-trading through such narrow-minded preconceived condemnation? Have day-traders given the populace the notion that we are uneducated and unprofessional in our occupation? Day-trading is about risk-management involving FUTURE price behavior. Tell me you who proclaim to price as being your king... do you not know that price itself is a lagging indicator. Duh... my seven year old knows that as soon as price appears it is HISTORY. Did not price jerk you around for approximately three hours this very morning not knowing which way to go like some lost vagabond ? You call that a king? One can over look this price error but one cannot over look connotations of price to porno 69... what a sick mind. Oh but remember we day-traders are viewed by society as psychopath lunatics in need of education. Bear in mind though that we veteran day-traders are quick to adjust and can prove to the populace that day-trading is a respectable profession worthy of honor and integrates in any given or unknown circumstance. We seasoned day-traders shine the light into the dark foreboding future because our hearts are courageous from inner integrety and we have slain our territorial dragons the big boys. Onward, Onward with the true day-trading profession and may all the inexperienced and 'WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL" day-traders glean to themselves integrity and professionalism. Grace101

The earlier trades did make up for it, just trying to see if I was missing something. Thanks though! It does help. Thanks.
