Having just read mac's question and answers from hwk and bmw, I have to ask - are you guys saying the same thing? Or, was hwk's answer only as it relates to a scalp? I realize this subject has been talked about alot, but I also have been somewhat confused. Sorry if I'm just being dense.
Hi Don, Deja vue... I just realized how far we all have come with Anek's help... I was working on my end of year summary and came across this post ... bmwhendrix -- 09-06-07 09:53 PM A. Breakdown bar had a low below the previous swing low but closed above it. So I guess I jumped the gun. You would generally wait for the trend break bar to close, and enter only if it closed below that swing low? Say in the case of a trend line break that took a couple of lower bars to break the previous low. Would you consider it valid at that point, or require the new low to be coincident or prior to the trend line break? Mac and Walter, my response was brief (I was primarily referring to a basic trendline break)... BMW's is more accurate, so I will leave it to him to clarify, but I believe a detailed response can be found near the 9-6-07 post date... (edit: it appears Anek did not reply on the forum near 9-6-07) Now it is back to reading the thread for me ... (as I assume everyone else is doing as well... ) Merry, Merry all....

Here's my suggestion. Some of you may not like it. I think Anek should make the room a pay site, but donate most of revenue to his favorite charity. The rest of the money could be used to make the room better ie graphs being displayed in real time. I would suggest keeping the cost low like $ 10 per month so most traders can easily afford it. This way the coach potatoes who are not going to really trade in the 1st place will not have an incentive to waste room space from those that are really trying to learn this method. Please feel free to let me know what you think.
Thank you for the suggestion but it is not happening. That would imply I need responsibilities, schedules, God forbid, CUSTOMERS, and worst of all, would need to act professional. As some of you already know, I'm a clown, I trade with a smile and I joke as I trade because frankly, I got every reason in the world to smile. Besides laughter is the best medicine for anything and everything. What would the name of the room be anyway ? Trade with a clown while watching porn as we make fun of pay sites in the spirit of helping those in need ? Not exactly, catchy As far as charities, they already nearly get about 10% of my annual gains. Noble suggestion but for the above stated ideas I can't comply. Sorry, it will never happen. Anek
Correct me if I'm wrong but were u not a paying member of PureTick at one time paying $250-$300/month? Did they not help you? Granted most sites are garbage but please make that distinction so the good guys don't get hurt.
Hi Anek, Thank you for looking at my chart. You noted that on the losing trade I hadn't waited for the 'magic tick'. This is something worth talking about and I'd appreciate hearing what you or anyone else might have to say regarding this. I've spent some time considering the advantages/disadvantages of using the 'magic tick' and so far my thinking runs along these lines: The 'magic tick' is really useful for confirming price break out of a consolidation zone such as a triangle or a rectangle. Is the 'magic tick' worth waiting for when scalping retracements (1-2-3s) in the ES? Trading the ES each tick is worth $12.50 as opposed to $5 for NQ. The 'magic tick' does not guarantee price will continue just means it's more likely to continue. So, give up a tick to have higher probability of a trade reaching the target? Any and all thoughts are appreciated. Joyous Holidays, Shel
