  1. From what I´ve seen and understood so far, I think I might like the new PBs best of all since the AnekPBs.

They seem to take swing highs/lows into consideration which makes spotting potential entries/exits/reversals really easy.
Also, if chop looks like what I imagine it should look like, it should be really easy to see as well.

Would love to see a chart of a choppy day and would love to try em out in realtime (would need somebody to translate it from TS to NT though...).

  2. Anek,

At first glance, I think your new paint bars are a definite improvement!!

I didn't use the std HA bars because the 2 color scheme gave this rookie many false signals.

Suri's bars are a definite improvement, but for me can be a little busy and confusing.

I'd love to see these real time though before I am sure.

Good work! ...and thanks a ton for sharing your efforts!

  3. With the idea that mornings are better than afternoons (I saw this posted by Anek a few hundred posts ago), what do people think about trading until you reach a daily profit target? I noticed that some people trade this way, and then either finish for the day, or move from real trading to a simulator.

Certainly there are some very good afternoons to be had, and perhaps one needs to trade all day to capture those profits on a good day to pay for the losers elsewhen.

Being a newby, I get both $$ and some good psychological advantages when I finish in front. I am thinking of trading to a profit target, then finishing off live, then heading to the sim....thoughts?

  4. Just want to share a stock that I've been stalking for quite a while now. SQNM. The analysis is for a buddy of mine, I promise that the macd histogram wasn't my idea but he wanted to know what it meant since he uses stock charts.com (i use telechart if you check my other pictures).

Anyways, good luck to anyone that goes for it. If we get to 7.5 and get an up day, i'm buying, or if we break the trendline with a nice wide range day, I'm also buying. The holding period on this one is several weeks.

  6. Thanks Anek. Thought you would be ok with me posting that because it's still what we look at for the most part.

I would help you with the paintbars, but I still haven't transitioned from the ones you originally made. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, as they say.

    Anek,
My first glance had me thinking "oh no, not another set of paintbars".
But staring at the charts for a little while, my thought is highlighting bars moving down off a LH and up off a HL are most significant since those bars of moving with the trend. Maybe incorporate my HL, LH, etc. indicator as used on the chart to setup a condition to pain the bars moving away from these points accordingly.

Attached is a marked up chart of yours to show you the area, I think, of greatest opportunity. Looking at is some more, if you got long after the first bright blue and short after the first bright red bar, you could have made decent profits and kept losses pretty small using the last swing point as a stop.
