    Step by step for mIRC:

    1. Download mIRC:
    http://mirc.com/get.html

    2. Install mIRC

    3. Run mIRC, click continue on the popup. It should than ask you for the following, enter it using your own information:

    Full Name:
    Email Address:
    Nickname:
    Alternative:

Enter your name and email address. For Nickname choose a nickname you would like to represent you on mIRC and for alternative just take that nickname and add a 1 to the end of it, for example: trader, trader1.

    4. Next click invisible mode below that so that your personal information is kept personal.

    5. Next click Connect->Servers on the left side of that window. Than click add. Than enter:

    Description: AHG
    IRC Server: irc.othernet.org
    Ports: 6667
    Group: Othernet
    Password: leave blank

Once you have entered that information, hit add.

    6. After you've done that go back to the original Connect tab on the left and click Connect.

    7. This will connect you to the othernet server, after its connected a window will pop up called: mIRC favorites. In that window click add. For the data enter:

    Channel: #AHG
    Password: leave blank
    Description: AHG

Than click the check box next to: "Join on connect". Once you have done that click "OK".

    8. Now go ahead and close mIRC. If it asks you "Are you sure you want to quit," say yes.

    9. Open mIRC once again, click continue on the initial pop-up, than "Connect" again. This will now connect you to the othernet server and also automatically join the AHG channel.

    10. The End. You can now just chat in the AHG channel window.

  3. A. You mentioned crabs and bats being the bread and butter of Suri scalping. I just got his book and it is very good. Did you see either of those patterns today on nq. Patterns seem to blend together a lot.

  5. Looks like the Bat pattern has the wings coming far past the swing point of the body in the book. That is why I was not seeing one today. Looks like trendlines and s/r levels also are inbedded in most patterns. Lots of ways to skin a cat mama said.

    Yeah,

I've noticed that too for awhile. Double bottoms and tops, W and Ms, Bats and Butterflies, all goes back to basic s/r and trendline breaks. I guess the patterns just give you a different way to recognize them.

  7. Don't know if I'm pulling this out of my ass or not... but here goes.

Target for these things would be the top channel. It's known as a wolfe wave.

    edpolton,

I realized that I have made a mistake in posting 'Trading Hours' chart. I would need to create a custom session in Tradestation for 'Trading Hours' (sharing with little knowledge could be misleading !).

As a result, you could see that the 'Trading Hours' chart is very different from the round the clock chart.

Just to repeat, I picked a trading day on 5 Dec 07 as a reference for comparison, with two charts side by side.

'NQ Tick Chart 8hrs 071205a.jpg' 233 tick and 1250 tick charts, premarket excluded. about 5 days multiday chart, 5 Dec 07

  10. This is for anyone on the thread using ninjatrader. I just downloaded the sim today and trying to get accustomed to it. Can anyone tell me how the HA bars that come with NT are different from those coded in various posts in this thread? Are the HA bars in NT just as useful and if so how exactly does one use them to stay with the trend and "let the winners run"? Thanks for any assistance.
