These 5 trading rules are from Mark Douglas' book, Trading in the Zone. Also, his 7 things that a consistent winner does. I might have changed a few words to make things clearer for myself. I created this pic to use as a background so I could see it every day. Posting it here by request. shoot... have to change pic filetype
I have heard some traders talk about areas or different levels that you could expect consolidation in a market. Maybe at Highs or Lows of days. I'm not sure. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. I would like to learn more about these areas so I can be on the look out. Thanks in advance
I am in the process of writing a journal with a checklist of things I'm want to consider before taking trades. This is definately not done and It's wouldn't be the same for everyone but I thought I would post it to get some feed back and hear others rules or oppinions that would be good to put in here. I'ts a work in progress and some of the informtion may be incorrect so if you can read it and offer some suggestions it may serve others good to have a set of guidelines to have handy to review before taking trades. Be Gentle It's not perfect
c.profitt I have to say u are maturing & becoming a great trader! keep up the good work you are getting there BB
Hi guys, Sorry I've been away because of work for a while so Im not sure if someone is doing this but Is anyone using Interactive Brokers with Quote Tracker as their charting software ? Also I know some of you were working on the bar colors to make Trade Stations, just wondering if you got that to work ? If you guys have a positive feedback about IB with QT for charts please advise, I'm ready to sign up and go live. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all AHG'ers !
I use IB and QT and really like the charting features, easy to open charts, scroll, draw trendlines, has a decent portfolio feature, however, it isn't great for AHG indicators... I opened an account with Tradestation for their charting and futures to utilize the AHG indicators. If you don't care about E-motion, modified HA BARs etc... go for it... I still run QT along side TS during the day... Some people transition to Ninja who go IB... QT is a great product at a great value, you just need to understand it's intended design and limitations... and Jerry Medved is great (customer support)
