  2. Sometimes I see a play that merits entering a solid position.

Can you name all the confirmations of the play in the chart ?

    Anek,

I can't trade during the day b/c I work. I have been following the thread religiously and studying all of the charts and comments posted. I also like to go back now to the beginning charts you posted and try to spot the different formations, and see additional trades that you could take that you weren't yet noting back then because they were more advanced. Do you think it would be wise to trade AH ES until I am in a position to quit my job?

I have heard you say before not to be intimidated by the afterhours and that a chart is a chart, just continue to follow price action. I am still a newbie, but not a complete newbie. I was able to trade ES for about 3 months last year while I wasn't working.

What do you think? Others too, anyone else still work during the day?

  5. Also, the lowest candle in each of the HL's finished way off their lows - showing those lower prices were firmly rejected by sellers.

    Off base?

  6. Jack,

    In order ...

    Sim Trade (6 months min)

    1 car trade

    2 car trade

    etc

    Afterhours :)

Sorry, not what you want to hear I'm sure. Better to try DAX at its opening.

  7. I work nights and go to school during the day for now so i only use the simulator to keep active but i heard somebody sugesting trading the DAX at 0300 hours so maybe that's a good option!

  10. As price was retracing...

The lows of the bars were all lower lows.

Suddenly at the trendline, market emotion etc, the last lower low was created.

The next bar's low was actually a higher low.

When the bar closed, price broke the high of the previous bar, creating a magic tick.

    Conclusion, a bullish 123.
