8 years of trading and investing. Almost 4 years full time swing trading out of those 8. And trading futures full time since last Febuary !! Still have a lot to learn though !!
disrat, What happened to you over the past year? Quote from your post in Oct 06 "To me scalping is for the birds. Thanks but no thanks. Daytrading is a one way ticket to the crazy house. If you don't go insane you will definitely burn yourself out very quickly" Glad to see you in the ranks. What changed your view? BTW, I made about 5 trades today on NQ, net 3 pts. Choppy day. I am patting myself on the back also, because I kept good stops, waited for good setups, and did'nt do any thing really stupid. Best to ya. Don
Yeah, that was before I ran into e mini futures. I did not have a clue to what they were until around last December. If I recall, in that post I was referring to scalping and daytrading equities. Which even today I still am not fond of !! Learning an instrument like YM backwards and forwards and not having to research thousands and thousands of stocks on a regular basis is an advantageous positon, IMHO !!
Nice to hear. After 3 feet of snow over the last few days, the temperature turned just above freezing. So whilst you were enjoying your Sierra Nevada, I was out running in the wet and slippery roads about town. Wouldn't have it any other way tho...
Well done, on a day like today. Care to share your charts so others (like me!) can learn how to navigate the chop?
I'm envious, not only because you're in Palm Springs, but because I think if I could learn to recognize chop early I'd be a billionaire. Today was a bitch! Every time it looked like a trend was starting (e.g. two LL/LH), I entered the trade and it immediately reversed. My question is, the market seemed to be in a definite down trend first thing this morning. How did you know to stay out?
Yeah, you have a point cipher. A change of seasons is nice. I was reminded of that over Thanksgiving when I went to San Antonio and had 40 degree weather. BTW, I do luv the snow. But I also luv trading outside on the balcony in 77 degree temp. in Dec
