Official Enhancement to AHG The modified HA bars (3 colors and advanced algorithm) used on OHLC bars are very good, provided they are used as intended with the tips provided when originally introduced. I would advice non TS traders to have coders convert them to Ninja and other platforms. They now sit permanently on my charts. Thank you to Piscuy for introducing me to them a long time ago, too bad I just recently paid attention to his suggestion. These babies are valuable. Anek
thanks anek. to convert it to ninja, we would need the code in text format. I couldnt open the eld file without TS cheers SS
Hi Anek, First, let me thank you for very helpful information this thread bring to traders in the spirit of sharing knowledge and experience. I found this thread only a week ago and happy I did. As for BBSqueeze indicator, from my following of John Carters free videos I agree that BBSqueeze is not a leading indicator, yet it may help to identify the chop/squeese/tight consolidation before a legitimate breakout happens, like a âSlim Jimâ pattern for example...
I see where 99% is coming from but I think I agree with you, but I think it also depends on how the individual feels deep down inside. Everyone knows how they really feel, they just don't always show the truth. Some of us are more suited for the workforce and others are not, it is an individual thing. When I graduated college I was presented with a very unique opportunity. When I graduated I had not found a job. My grandfather traded a little bit and he suggested that I come stay at his house and learn to trade futures instead of getting a job. I worked on it 24/7 for about 6 months and I was breakeven. I knew that this was a good result but I was frustrated because I wasn't making any money. Someone close to me would call me about every other day and suggest that I quit and go get a job. I think that they were embarrased that I did not have a job and was living with my grandparents. Eventually I caved in to their suggestions and entered the workforce. Three years later I am here at work on a Saturday working overtime for my boss making 40k a year with a engineering degree. Most people love working where I do but to me it's pure torture. I am becoming average and I have no goals. I can't stand grinding out my hours and collecting a check. I thought it was the job that I had so I decided to get one that I thought I would enjoy. I found a job traveling around the country doing virtual graphics for sporting events (virtual yellow line for football games). How awesome! No. Not really. The job was a lot of fun, but the company bs was even worse than the job before. That is when I realized that the crap I was putting up with was probably consistent across corporate america and started thinking about what else to do. I started looking on ET for trading ideas and kept running across comments about price action, price action, price action. A couple days later I ran across this thread... it was 1 page long. I wish I had ran across something like this in 2004. Will I finally be sucessful this time around? I don't know... I hope so. But if I'm not I will just move along to my next idea on how I can claw my way out of this trap called a job. Is all this done in vain and a waste of time? I don't think so. I have learned a lot (especially about myself). I think if 40 years from now I find that I am in the same place without trying to do something about it I would be very disappointed in myself.
Nope, till [sarcasm]those smart guys[/sarcasm], using Tradestation will show us in T E X T F O R M A T the code , did I say smart?
Well That was encourging. You should be a motivational speaker It is no wonder that you failed at this. You need to read the book "Your Best Life Now" I feel sorry for you but I think it is a diservice to spread that kind of negative dribble around to bring down others to your misserable view of things. I'm sure Anek, Mark, Piscu and many others will dissagree with you on your views of trading. Read the book, Then try trading again
Hi Mark1, Thanks for amibroker Anek bars translation, and of course thanks to Anek himself, that why we call them Anek Bars. Now I just need to learn to make some steady profit too and all would be just wonderful
