I'm baffled on how you guys pulled all those winners out of NQ today. Great going! But I'm down 38 points. Back relearning the rules I guess, cu all tomorrow!
Try changing lines to the thinnest dots and selecting darker colors - helps declutter, yet still visible especially on the price axis... noticed the same for major intraday swings - you can see the large contracts trading right at those levels - amazing... thanks for sharing!
I guarantee I should be more embarrassed than you. I had a $800 drawdown mid-day due to over trading in the chop. It wasn't until the nice down draft and reversal late in the day that I was able to work myself back to positive $100 for the day. That is my biggest problem right now is patience. But knowing what my problem is and fixing it is easier said than done. I take a little solace in knowing that I can trade horribly and still manage to end up positive.
Hi Any Ninja users, did anyone get the TMF working on Ninja. Were you able to plot it on panel1 along with the price? Thanks DT
Geez, How come? Didn't you notice the mkt was itchy, lots of long wicks and long bars even on a volume chart. Overtraded? Tell us what's been your problem and see if we all together can help you out and learn from your mistakes. As i said today was tough, don't feel bad, my head was exploding by noon, what about the afternoon? Did you miss the big moves because you were scared by your previous trades Spill the bean
Mark, Good eye. I missed the failed h/s at the bottom. However still a good day +18.75 19 trades. Most my trades were short trades today.
FWIW, I do not exactly follow the rules. It is a blend of different things and experience. I record all my trades and do an evaluation every day. Over time one notices certain things, like repeating mistakes. One learns personal strong and weak points and tries to move forward. For example, I am not (yet) good at fast scalping. I have noticed that and have restricted myself to do that only in strong trends, if at all. Coming from long term trading, I tend to do better with swing day trades. People are different and when trading discretionarily such an exercise is quite beneficial, IMHO.
You have to plot it in panel2 ... It doesn't appear NT handles the different scales well. Not just with TMF but other indicators as well...
