Ag futures plunge before Bernake testimony

  1. You would be right. Weather is king this time of year in the Ags.
    Neither Ben, the WSJ nor the Gov't can control that, but the market definitely responds to it. The market responds very quickly this time of year, every year. This is always the most volatile part of the year for the grains.

    Maps last week called for hot/dry..
    On Saturday, they changes to cool and wet...

    These are weather markets..not at ALL influenced by what Helicopter Ben says...

  3. If the Bush administration is able to create Katrina, avert Rita from Houston and cause global warming than they certainly can bring needed rainfall to the corn belt in front of Bernanke. :p

    That was funny Pabst. Sure seems to be a lot quite a bit of knowledge tossed around on commodities all of the sudden. Good knowledge of course.
