Tell me you are American, without telling me you are American. In Europe and most of Asia it is quite possible to send large amount of money between banks instantly. Even on the weekends!!!

In China you can pay with your PALM. I know, it is the future, right?

The off chain transaction still could have happened if the 2 parties trust each other. Certain people you may not want to piss off and you are rich anyway, so why risk your life or prison if they report you to the IRS?

Why so complicated? I thought the point of bitcoin was that it was secure.

Here is another interesting twist to the story. There were transactions done on the BCH network using the same private key earlier.

Very very easy, you'll get VIP treatments if you contact some of the higher ups at Blackrock, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, , Morgan Stanley, and the entry to this is not 10,000

I reckon 500 btc ($50M+ would do it), SWAN has a private communication channel or any of the smaller players would do it for less than 100 bitcoin

    strawman, Pek

This is a single transaction for $1.1 Billion of value, naturally I gave you the process I would undertake if it was me

When I paid for my TradingView subscription, I sent it from my spending wallet, and didn't think about it twice until an hour or 2, it was nothing to me

How many people in Asia are doing single transactions worth $1.1 Billion?

Bitcoin is secure, otherwise it would be easy for anyone in the world to take the $70 Billion worth of bitcoin that Blackrock IBIT owns

Good thread, at least now we know it was not a careless transaction. The private key for BCH is the same as btc for the same address as Bitcoin Cash was a fork

Banks do it all the time. Crypto supposedly replaced banks, yet you need to wait weeks for a transaction?
