In China you can pay with your PALM. I know, it is the future, right? The off chain transaction still could have happened if the 2 parties trust each other. Certain people you may not want to piss off and you are rich anyway, so why risk your life or prison if they report you to the IRS?

Banks do it all the time. Crypto supposedly replaced banks, yet you need to wait weeks for a transaction?
