AFL-CIO, Teamsters, ever lay people off?

  1. Debating doing a research product for a masters degree. A topic that is of interest is labor relations. Anyone here ever hear of the various unions laying off employees? Curious as they have had tremendous drops in members over the years. Do they downsize like the employers they would attack? Or do they just increase dues? Haven't started any major research, but even though I know everyone here is a lifetime trader, thought maybe they might know an employee of a union, not a member, but an employee of the unions themselves.

  2. Probably the only people ever laid off in a union shop is management.

  3. Guido will break your kneecaps if you lay him off. No one's laying anyone off at the Teamsters.
