What do you advise first to do for new day traders?

read the WSJ daily

ask questions (oh, you already did that)

take small risks......

 

Don't listen to 95% of the rubbish you read on this message board.

But Seriously, marry an extremely wealthy beautiful girl who does not ask what you do all day in front of your computer!

 

start looking for a job...

Once a trade is made then the Preserve Capital Rule is no longer valid. Finally, a trade will never been made since the Preserve Capital rule is always applied.
