Those are some of the reasons I enjoyed boxing in my younger days, the immediacy of the action/reaction, with no one to blame but self when making mistakes.
I discovered trading in 2020 but wished I had 30 years ago!

much more simple than options in that you don't have to worry about theta or IV...less risk IMO than equities in that price is more based off of supply and demand (commodities anyway)...you don't have to worry about company specific/management issues. Futures are taxed more favorably than equities as well, 60/40 long term/short term capital gains. I also like that the products are limited in quantity vs equities...you have a handful to trade with futures vs thousands of public companies.

just more simple IMO...I wish I hadn't spent so much time messing with options.

You have a distinct advantage in that you have years of options experience. You can use FOPs to hedge your futures trades after you get comfortable with futs, and maintain same tax treatment with FOP.

Fun to see a convert. Any questions, feel free to ask, I love 'em. Except Class IV milk futures! STAY AWAY LOL! (I just love picking on that one.)

Thought you were an investor rather than a trader.

  7. It doesn't matter what you trade, and how you trade, in the market,
It's all about a trader's ability to know the future....,if you Don't know the future....then the game is essentially over for you,
Your trading account will just be whipsawed around like the fishing boat in the movie The Perfect Storm,

And for the most part, this is where all traders are essentially completely gambling -- and why 99.4% essentially fail or make no substantial, serious, progress,
Everyone likes to kid themselves....they have edge, skill, process, and understanding and even decades of so-called experience.....when in reality, they don't have nothing,

View the casino not from the trading floor, but from the highest vantage point in the building, -- and that perspective will make the larger image seem clearer of what is happening and unfolding,
Who are the fools and rough....and who are the true professionals and diamonds in the rough,

So...Do you know the future? What trade are you putting on RIGHT NOW to make money, by guessing the FUTURE??!

  9. I'm human and not a prophet. But compared to the general, typical, common, average, trader....then I would say I know the future,

I don't guess and gamble this early in the day. I establish a reasonable, likely, hypothesis, then wait for that trigger point in real time and ride that wave movement for all its got,
Kind of like those natural disaster movies....where the lone researcher gets ridiculed and mocked by everyone else, but nails it,
