  1. IQ not that important outside the tails (of course this is not conditional on profession).

  2. Nice plot, but that looks like a broad population, many jobs, right? I'd like to see data for just traders (probably doesn't exist, even in those few studies of day traders (IQ not measured)).

  3. Me too. There is probably a reason such testing isn't done ;-)

  5. We're talking past each other, and nobody else cares about our opinions. Reminds me of the old bbs's and usenet:

    You can't help him unless u have to do it first then show him how to do it. And even that, there is no guarantee that he would be successful as u are. But there is hope that he sees an example & keep trying. (That's exactly what I'm doing.)

    That's true, but in this game, once a break even point is crossed and one turns into profitable trader/investor, question comes,

    - how can i do this even faster or -
    easier, safer and with same or higher returns.

    (those 5 should never go away, you just keep updating them, mixing, and updating again ; that's why im fascinated by Robinhoods buy and hold, trash etf or something ;
    nothing fascinating tho - people just don't care, finance makes them sick, simple as that)

    And imho, sooner or later, that leads to a longer timeframes.

    Unless, one is really that passionate, at looking into screen for 7 hours non stop.

    Then hes a mad artist in his own way, and i bow low. Respect.

    In one way I was fortunate - I was not a social guy, so I went the bookworm way.
