Advanced Degrees

  1. I regret wasting too much time in college. I wish I had spend more time in the market. IMO the best way to learn trading is to follow a top trader and learn from him/her directly. Trading is similar to sports and acting. You can't learn it just by reading books or writing thesis. You have to learn it by doing!

  3. There is a REASON experienced traders dismiss this type of character:

This guy is the Ultimate Conformist. A Cog in a Wheel.

    Most successful traders are non-Conformists...
They think independently and creatively and in a VERY contrarian manner.
From the day they are born.

As someone who has hired/trained traders...
I wouldn't give an economics grad or MBA the time of day...
But tell me that you have won a few serious poker tournaments...
And I want to know more about you.

poker tournaments? poker is now for the Ultimate Conformists. every moron who is too "smart" or thinks too "differently" for the rest of us think they can be poker players after watching it on TV.

When I played for fun in the mid 90s the tables were filled with old retired people; maybe they are true non-conformists you're referring to.

Can you wrap up a brief description of poker?

How long did you spend on training a person to be a non conformist in his job working for you?
