    Devin Sloane, an L.A.-based business executive, got four months behind bars for his part in the college admissions scandal. Sloane paid $250,000 to fraudulently get his son into the University of Southern California as a water polo recruit. NBC News

    His son will pay the ultimate price for the rest of his life. It's sad he taught him such values.

    To be honest the kind of child with parents that can casually throw 250,000 at a school are not the kind of children who suffer any consequence for anyone's actions.

    This kid will probably have daddy's best friend pay some other school if he wants the degree, not that it matters because he just want the degree to pick up women. It's not like he needs to work.

    There isn't enough money in the world that one can have if they do not have the skill to hold on to it.
    I have seen with my own eyes how kids destroy empires that parents build and in the trading business as well.

    So you are right, in the short term, there will be no consequences, long term, this kid better start learning how to navigate through challenges without daddy.

    On the other hand, it might be just what the kid needs as a life lesson to keep him straight for the rest of his life: Crime doesn't pay. A blessing in disguise?
