    Maybe, i listed my options on the bottom on the previous page. I sent another email to the ncix rep with the 2 ideas and i'll post what he says tomorrow.

    Aero is visual candy enabled by default in Vista and Windows 7 (not applicable if you use Windows XP). Aero enables for semi-transparent windows etc. Read more here. If you use Aero it puts a heavy workload on the graphics card with higher screen resolutions. The "wave" effect you observe is likely how your graphics card repaints the screeen in real time.
